CARE IN TIMES OF NEED Yesterday I took a trip to a hospice location out of town. Paul is an Estes employee whose wife is in the last stages of cancer. I have been in contact with the family throughout her battle.

A few years ago I had the privilege of leading Paul to Christ. He is an infant believer who has struggled with the pain and fear of losing his wife.

sedated so I spent some time talking with their daughter. We talked about the struggle, pain, and helplessness that she was feeling. As I began to talk with her about Hope her younger adult sister arrived. We backed off the conversation and I brought her sister up to speed about our conversation.

After listening to her struggles I talked about their mother’s faith and asked them where they found their hope. In the process, we were able to talk about where true hope was found. I asked each of them if they had ever found forgiveness in Christ and trusted Him as their Savior. That is when their dad walked in. When he heard that they wanted to receive Christ he requested that we all join hands around his wife’s bedside as they prayed to receive Christ. There were some tears and both of Paul’s daughters prayed to receive Christ.
