WE ARE ASKING GOD FOR A
WE ARE ASKING GOD FOR A
AMONG EVERY LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE GROUP – IN OUR
I am thrilled to introduce Converge International Ministries to you. We exist to partner with you to see the Church achieve the mission Jesus entrusted to her – to disciple the nations. More precisely, Jesus promised His Holy Spirit would empower His bride to take his love to every people group (Mt. 28:1820, Acts 1:8, Mt. 24:14, etc.) When the Church fulfills its mission, our Savior will return, and death and sin will be no more (Rev. 21:3-5).
At Converge, we are asking God for a gospel movement among every leastreached people group – in our generation. This vision statement animates everything we do and captures four ideas: 1) We are asking God – so prayer is our highest priority. 2) We seek to launch movements, not merely do good things. We send global workers to multiply indigenous disciplemaking. 3) We prioritize those people groups who have little or no access to the gospel. 4) We do all of this with urgency, knowing 70,000 people die each day without ever hearing a credible presentation of the Gospel. This is the greatest injustice in the world today. As you page through this brochure, we pray that God will inspire you to lead the members of your congregation to engage with us in fulfilling the Great Commission.
THE GREATEST is to be INJUSTICE IN THE WORLD BORN, LIVE, & DIE and NEVER hear A CREDIBLE PRESENTATION of the GOSPEL.
Initiatives are large, cross-cultural missions endeavors that require multiple, diverse “projects” and target a geographic area, a people group, a religious background, or a large urban center.
Projects are local gospel endeavors that contribute to a large gospel “initiative”. They can be done by an individual, a Converge team, a combined team with other agencies or national partners, or a stateside church.
Regional Impact Teams come alongside national movements and movement leaders to help catalyze gospel movements among the least-reached; in most cases where we do not have Converge staff.
We are building four Regional Impact Teams: Africa, Latin America, Europe & the Mediterranean, Asia.
Diaspora is the reality that there are millions of people on the move (such as Afghans coming to America) which creates new opportunities for people to hear the gospel. There are also opportunities for Christians (such as the 200,000 Filipinos in Saudi Arabia) to share the gospel in places where Western missionaries cannot go.
Consortium is a network of churches and individuals who have been Spirit-led to join with global partners to undertake missionary efforts beyond the resources of any one member.
Global Worker is our newly preferred term for our missionaries. We use “global worker” today because the term “missionary” can trigger a dangerous reaction in many parts of the world where our teams are serving.
I BELIEVE THAT IN EACH GENERATION GOD HAS CALLED ENOUGH MEN AND WOMEN TO EVANGELIZE ALL THE YET UNREACHED TRIBES OF THE EARTH. IT IS NOT GOD WHO DOES NOT CALL, IT IS MAN WHO WILL NOT RESPOND.”
- ISOBEL KUHN
After serving two years in a local church and then eleven years as a global worker in Ukraine, it is my privilege to lead the mobilization team of Converge International Ministries. Our team has deployed the greatest number of global workers in the history of Converge, formerly BGC - and we have many more in our pipeline. We are here to help your church raise up and send global workers into the harvest fields God has prepared in advance for your church to reach. We are developing tools to aid you in this endeavor.
If you encounter someone in your congregation who senses God may be calling them to a cross-cultural ministry role, please reach out to us. We invest in prospective candidates to produce God-honoring results through the care and support of their ministry and family. Our dedicated team provides coaching and training to help candidates discover innovative strategies that make room for their gifts and passions. Converge provides benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan, and personal care for our global staff to keep them healthy on the field and when they return home for home assignment.
In every congregation, it has been estimated that 1-4% of the members have the spiritual gifts and the cross-cultural aptitude to become effective global workers. In other words, as Paul reminded his friends in Rome, there are some in your congregation whose beautiful feet God is calling to send.
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15 (NIV84)
The Converge International Ministries [IM]PACT Global Missions Service Internship is designed to help shape young people’s worldview to be missional in their responses to the injustice they see around them.
The 6-10 week internship allows an intern to personally encounter the challenge and adventure of global ministry. Though our primary audiences are Millennials and GenZ, we will welcome those over 18 years old with a heart for the nations.
If you are interested in rising to the challenge of being a person of influence in the life of an intern, please become an ambassador for this program. Also, if you know someone interested in missions, please have them check out our web page or apply. We are now accepting applications!

While Christians anticipate the second coming of Jesus, many people around the world have still not heard of his first coming. You can become a part of the Great Commission by helping some of the world’s leastreached people meet, know and follow Jesus through a Converge [IM] PACT Global Missions Residency.
The [IM]PACT Global Missions Residency is an opportunity to serve two years in a Converge International Ministries initiative. During your time on the field, you will gain hands-on, cross-cultural ministry experience and engage in theological education.
Your residency training will prepare you for the rigors of being a missionary and becoming a leader who helps raise more leaders to reach the unreached with the gospel.
In addition to doing ministry, you will spend 6-8 hours per week focusing on the academic component of your residency through the Kairos University which will result in a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies tied to what you are doing in ministry.
Whether you’re unsure of the call God has placed in your life, or uncertain of the location where he wants to send you, our assessment process helps you discern your spiritual, psychological and cultural fit. You’ll learn the areas you need to grow in and be equipped with tools you will take to the field.
The Missionary Discovery & Assessment is a three-and-a-half-day period where a candidate is evaluated by professional assessors in 17 different areas. It is designed to help explore and refine God’s calling on the life of a candidate.
The Missionary Discovery & Assessment can help potential missionaries discover their strengths, areas of growth, uniqueness and gifting to assist in developing a healthy approach to missionary life and ministry. The heart of Converge is not just to send out healthy missionaries but to care for them as well. This allows us to come alongside the local church in creating relationships with all of our missionaries. The input and recommendations received from the professional assessors can be invaluable in the pursuit of becoming a missionary.
1. Clarify God’s call to missions
2. Discover your aptitude to cross-cultural life and ministry
3. Discover your personality profile and ministry style
4. Receive evaluation from seasoned assessors
Converge equips our global worker appointees through a competency-based approach which includes a mentor team to walk alongside each household to make sure they receive the unique training they need to thrive in ministry and on the field.

THERE IS NO PLAN B.
THE CHURCH IS GOD’S PLAN A FOR REACHING THE NATIONS.
I served as the pastor of a church we planted for 32 years. Whenever I saw a missionary headed my way, I assumed they wanted financial support. Our team wants something much more – not from you, but for you. Paul wrote to his friends in Ephesus that Jesus had prepared work in advance for them to do together. (Ephesians 2:10). The same is true for your church. God has prepared ministry among the nations that your church is uniquely prepared to fulfill; but if your congregation is like most, your missions program is marked by the valiant labor of a few – and a whole congregation of “untapped potential.”
We have an amazing team that can serve and coach your church to help you discover where your work among the nations might be, and then help you partner effectively to see a gospel movement take place. All the services of the U.S. Engagement team are provided free to your church. Our team has raised their support so that we can serve you. The next few pages unpack just a few of the resources we would love to share with you.
The 2:10 FOCUS process is an exciting Journey of discovering and fulfilling God’s purpose for your church. The U.S. Engagement Team of Converge International Ministries is available to help walk churches through a simple, but profound process of finding and fulfilling their church’s God-designed global role. Many are eager to increase their missions impact and effectiveness, but often have few ideas of where to begin. Converge desires to serve churches in discovering and utilizing their unique strengths and resources through the 2:10 FOCUS Challenge.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
OUR GOAL IS TO HELP YOU DISCERN THE GOOD WORKS GOD HAS PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR CHURCH TO DO AMONG THE NATIONS. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: DISCOVERY

This model has been around for over 100 years. We call it the “Own the missionary” or “The missionary owns and does everything” model. The missionary owns capital fundraising projects, missions’ trips planning, and not to mention trying to discern where God is leading in the harvest. This is a model that worked in times past but does not help things move quickly on the field.
Local churches are the engine which drives global missions. Converge International Ministries seeks to unite North American churches to one another for shared prayer and missional effort toward the least reached peoples of the world. These church networks, called Consortia, harness prayer, energy, resources, and diverse spiritual gifts beyond the ability of any one church can do individually. We are better together!
The consortia model moves from the global worker (missionary) doing and handling everything. The goal is to keep the global workers facing the harvest field!! The current engagement model moves the administrative burden that was placed on the global team in the past to a high-capacity executive team. This new model enables the Initiative leaders and project teams to move quickly to opportunities the Lord creates on the field as we pray and continue to believe God for a Gospel Movement among the least-reached.
“We have advanced on our knees… There’s been a lot of action as a result of our prayers, but it’s been prayer that has solved the problems… it’s been prayer that God has raised up recruits, supplies, and equipment when it seemed hopeless. And all we could do as it were, was march around Jericho on our knees-just around Jericho. And then finally, the walls fell, and we marched in.”
Converge International Ministries recognizes that the great commission to the least-reached people groups can only be accomplished through fervent prayer and reliance on the power of God. As we, by faith, ask God to bring workers for the harvest who will ignite gospel movements, we see the Holy Spirit empower our teams as He promised He would in Acts 1:8. We realize that what precedes and permeates a movement is prayer.
BY THE END OF 2026, 20 INITIATIVES EFFECTIVELY STAFFED AND EFFECTIVELY RESOURCED.
INITIATIVES GLOBAL MAP
It is my honor to introduce you to the global workers of Converge. They serve in five regions around the world launching large scale regional initiatives and staffing our regional impact, member care and specialist teams. As we ask God for a gospel movement among every least-reached people group, we have set an interim goal to have 20 regional initiatives, fully staffed and fully funded by 2026.
As you will see, we are well on the way to that goal. Initiatives will work through multiple projects, each one including multiplication of transformational leaders –disciples who make disciples who are gathered in churches. Our global workers have the specific responsibility of identifying and coming alongside local indigenous leaders to catalyze gospel movements. Each initiative is supported by a consortium of local churches in the U.S. who become full partners in the work – unleashing the passions and resources of local churches into areas where until now only darkness reigned.

WE ARE ASKING GOD FOR 5% OF SENEGAL’S URBAN TRIANGLE TO BECOME REPRODUCING DISCIPLES OF JESUSWITH EMPHASIS ON THE UNREACHED WOLOF AND PEUL.
Each of Senegal’s many ethnic groups cherish their unique language and cultural traditions. Yet, nearly all of Senegal’s 16 million people (95%) bow toward Mecca and honor Muhammad as their prophet. Almost 5% are Catholic. The Wolof and Peul, the two largest ethnic groups, are proud of their long-held Islamic traditions and are content and complacent as Muslims.
Sixty years of outreach efforts have produced fewer than 500 Christians among 10 million Wolof and Peul living today. Yet, Jesus called us to make disciples among every people group — even resistant ones. Jesus himself loved a proud and resistant people. Millions in Senegal have yet to hear clear and consistent gospel messages in their mother tongue. The ministry efforts of the Metro SenWest Initiative are focused on a large geographic triangle from the capital city of Dakar to two rapidly growing population centers to the east. Many large development projects within this triangle are drawing people from all over Senegal searching for employment and a new urban life.
We faithfully proclaim God’s message of salvation through a variety of strategies and venues. Muslims with “ears to hear” will rejoice in God’s redeeming love and come to faith in Jesus. •
OUR VISION IS 25,000 PEOPLE FROM 10 LEAST-REACHED PEOPLE GROUPS IN THE GOTEL MOUNTAINS TO BE GATHERED INTO DISCIPLE-MAKING COMMUNITIES.
Nigeria is the 7th largest nation in the world with a population of over 200 million, and it is expected to double in size over the next 30 years. It is home to over 530 people groups with almost half of them considered least-reached, and many Christians have just added Christianity to their tribal beliefs.
The Gotel Mountains are located in eastern Nigeria and stretch into Cameroon. This is the home of the Gotel Initiative. We are committed to developing Jesus followers in the unreached here as well as discipling cultural Christians to understand they can have a personal relationship with Jesus. Our Vision is for 25,000 people from 10 least-reached people groups in the Gotel Mountains to be gathered into disciple-making communities. We believe that this momentum will create a movement that will sweep across Nigeria.

The 6° Initiative is a church planting gospel movement focused on the unreached people groups just 6° north of the equator in West Africa. The sixth degree spans across the balmy African coast that has been impacted most by voodoo, and its exportation of precious human life through the slave trade. Satan’s stronghold on these unreached people groups is extremely powerful. These people must be liberated by the transforming message of the Gospel. Jesus is the only answer.
We, as Converge global workers, are partnering with national leaders among the Gen and Watchi people groups. We are working in church planting and leadership development in Aneho, Tog and Ouidah, Benin, the least reached cities of the region. Concentrated church planting movements within these culturally significant cities are serving as launching pads for ministry into smaller communities. We’re asking God for 190,000 disciples from unreached people groups in Togo and Benin.

WE HAVE MORE THAN 1,000 GOSPEL MOVEMENTS IN THE WORLD
TODAY. WE’RE ASKING GOD IF WE CAN BE PART OF ONE, TOO.
THE HUI NEED A MIGHTY MOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO COME UPON THEM, A MOVEMENT THAT BEGINS IN THEIR MIDST AND IN OUR GENERATION.
The Hui (pronounced “h-way”) are a group of over 14 million people who make up the third largest ethnic minority group in China. Officially, they are recognized as part of the 5 ethnic groups symbolized in the 5 stars on the Chinese flag.
We are looking to God for an unstoppable and sustainable Gospel movement where a million Hui would meet, know, and follow Jesus in Kingdom communities within the next ten years. There are 14 million Hui, and only 0.01% have been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Hui Unreached People-Group (UPG) needs a mighty move of the Holy Spirit to come upon them, a movement that begins in their midst and in our generation. We want to see reproducible Christ following communities planted amongst the Hui people-group with Hui Christ-followers reaching their own people.

One of the least-reached nations in the world, Thailand is truly a “field ripe for harvest.” By engaging the Thai people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping leaders to expand the kingdom of God, we are asking God for a Gospel Movement in the nation of Thailand.
We are committed to developing communities of Jesus followers who regularly meet and fellowship in reproducing multiplying movements that holistically impact individuals, communities, and regions through the power of the Gospel.
Our primary focus is developing transformational leaders who embrace God’s distinct calling, gifting, and opportunities for eternal impact and empowering local churches to fulfill the Great Commission.

PEOPLE IN INDONESIA ARE HUNGRY FOR THE GOOD NEWS AND THE FIELDS ARE WHITE AND READY FOR HARVEST.
Indonesia is in an area of the world where the name of Jesus is not widely known and where 234 unique people groups are still unreached with the Gospel of Jesus. People are hungry for the Good News and the fields are white and ready for harvest. In Indonesia, we will be discipling our new friends and equipping them to launch small groups among unreached people groups. Our role will be to support them in developing these groups into house churches that deploy new small groups that do the same.
In addition to being a cultural and economic influencer around the globe, the Japanese are the second largest unreached people group in the world. We see God moving in a powerful way, and are joining with dozens of organizations and hundreds of churches to see the Japanese go from unreached to reached through diverse strategies including church planting, missional communities, and multiplicative life-on-life discipleship.
We leverage technology, art, and creativity to share the gospel in a culture that has an ample supply of each. The advantages of engaging among the Japanese are ease of access, potential for impact, and a need for deep commitment.

The Nordic-Baltic Initiative is a work that began in 2010 to reach the underreached nations of Northern Europe. Throughout the region, we estimate only 2-3% of the population to be followers of Christ. The post-Christian dynamic of the region is evidenced by declining church attendance, a secular mentality, and even the rise of animistic folk religions. An overwhelming majority of Estonians are atheists. On Sundays in Stockholm, only 0.06% of the people attend any church.
But there is hope and momentum in the region! Converge has been working to develop strategic partnerships in each of these nations and has already built relationships with national church movements in five of the eight counties. Young people in Estonia are taking ahold of their faith and leadership in the church. Finns are reaching the Karen people who are refugees from Burma in Finland. We see vibrant churches being planted in Stockholm. Our team is leading through influential relationship across the region to see transformational leaders developed and deployed.

In the 15:5 West Initiative, we are asking God for a gospel movement among the 15 largest cities in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia that will also plant gospel communities in at least five unreached villages around each of these cities. Currently, many of the major cities in this region of the world have populations that are less than 1% evangelical. We desire to see this change.
We believe that God has ordained the times and boundaries of men in every place at all times. This means that in the cities of which we live, every relationship that exists between neighbors, friends, coworkers and classmates is ordained by God and channels through which the gospel of the kingdom can spread. Our hope is to see the gospel move through the incredible relational networks that exists in these cities transforming individuals, communities and ultimately the city itself. Would you join with us?

FROM MOROCCO AND MADRID TO THE DOME OF THE ROCK IN JERUSALEM, WE ARE ASKING GOD FOR A GOSPEL MOVEMENT IN EACH OF THESE NATIONS IN OUR GENERATION.
The birthplace of the Christian Movement started in the region of the Mediterranean Sea. Right now, every country bordering the Great Sea is considered least reached. We are focused on the unreached Muslim people groups that lie within each of these nations. North Africa, The Middle East and Southern Europe are ready for a reawakening to the Message of Jesus and His Kingdom.
People are being transformed and leaders are emerging as we make disciples who make disciples. From Morocco and Madrid to the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, we are asking God for a gospel movement in each of these nations in our generation.

The Quechua people are an Indigenous people in the Andes area of South America who speak the Quechua language. There are approximately 8 million Quechua people, and they mainly live in the countries of Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, with small pockets of the people also living in the countries of Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
The majority of Quechua people groups are considered least reached in that less than 4% of the population are Evangelical Christians. Currently, traditional religious practices are widely embraced by the people. The Quechua have also blended Christian beliefs into their practices, leading to a highly syncretistic belief system. Furthermore, the Quechua also share a common spiritual belief system with other people in the Andean area. This includes a belief in Mother Earth, who grants fertility and to whom the people make offerings and sacrifices.

We are asking God for a gospel movement in every least-reached community of the Southern Cone in our generation.
We define the Southern Cone as a geographic region in South America located east of the Andes Mountains and south of the Tropic of Capricorn that encompasses Argentina, Uruguay, and Southern Brazil, whose people are primarily of European descent and who are considered to be mostly least-reached.
• Train and resource 1,000 ministry leaders in Southern Brazil through our Encontro LIDER Project by January 2024.

The Bajio (Pronounced Ba-heé-o) is the name used for a six-state region in central Mexico surrounding Guadalajara, the second-largest city in Mexico. This region is known by missiologists as the “Circle of Silence” because of its great spiritual need. The region has a population of 22 million people, but according to census statistics, only 2.5% to 3.5% of them are evangelicals. Most people practice a folk Catholicism which is syncretistic and steeped in the worship of apparitions of Mary. Evangelical Christians are looked upon as a sect and people who come to faith almost always face opposition and pressure if not outright hostility from family members. While there is a gospel presence, especially in the larger cities, most evangelical churches are small and struggling.
The Bajio Initiative seeks to come alongside movement leaders already focused on this region to develop partnerships and to bring resources to bear which will promote and facilitate the spread of the gospel.
THIS REGION IS KNOWN AS THE “CIRCLE OF SILENCE” BECAUSE OF ITS GREAT SPIRITUAL NEED.

The unprecedented rise in global migration in recent years has created significant challenges, as well as, extraordinary opportunities for cross-cultural ministry and frontline disciple-making without ever leaving our cities or communities. The U.S. and Canada are now home to the third largest number of unreached people groups in the world. Seeing the sovereign hand of God behind this, Converge lnternational Ministries has launched a new initiative in the recently established field of North America for the purpose of engaging and discipling the vast numbers of least-reached peoples now living within easy access to the gospel. We call it From Scattered to Gathered or FS2G.

Billy Graham once referred to First Peoples in the United States as “America’s sleeping spiritual giants who are awakening.” When it comes to First Peoples in North America, approximately 7.2 million First Peoples live within this continent, or about 5.2 million in the United States and another 2 million in Canada. Also, there are approximately 572 tribes in the United States alone, and tribes have different languages and other cultural practices. For a variety of reasons, including the church too often overlooking tribal people groups in North America and many tribal people viewing Jesus as the “Whiteman’s God”, many of these people have never met, known, or followed Jesus. Furthermore, tribal people possess great gospel potential, but many things are keeping these people from achieving their God-given potential. One such thing is suicide as the suicide rate in tribal communities is the highest out of any people group in the United States.
In response to the great spiritual need among First Peoples in North America, the vision of the First Peoples initiative is to catalyze gospel movements among these people groups for the purpose of reaching approximately 1% of the population (70,000 people) for Jesus, so that First Peoples can then be raised up to participate in God’s global mission.
