What began in 2021 as a Danish charity event during the Covid pandemic, "Draw with Denmark" quickly evolved into a UNESCO Global campaign. Its core mission is to spread creative and positive messages of hope worldwide.
This inspiring program has engaged children and young people from 45 countries, spanning cities across all continents. Thousands of drawings have been collected, releasing a truly special magic that has captured imaginations globally. The initiative has been featured on BBC News and BBC Look North, reaching a broad audience.
Exhibitions showcasing drawings by children, including those from York schools, have been held at prestigious venues such as the National Gallery in Copenhagen, the UNESCO Creative Cities’ Annual Conference in Braga, Portugal, and in Cali. Further exhibitions have taken place at the UNESCO Conference in Paris, in Wuhan, China, and in York.
