I spend as much time as I can here I’m here 2 days a week at least I enjoy keeping busy It’s as much about the people as it is about the woodwork I used to busk, but I lost the use of one leg and so I don’t do that anymore
I keep coming here because, ‘ no one else would let me loose with a screw driver and hammer!’
It’s a good space, it’s wheelchair height so Joseph can work I love making bird boxes and planters We even make toys for schools sometimes I’m happy to know kids get helped by what we do

I’m Christine’s neighbour and she told me about it, I’ve been coming 2 days a week ever since I’m 79 next year so I’m retired. This keeps me fit and I love the community, Rachel is so passionate about the park. I’ve been coming about 3 years now My passion is wildlife and there’s ducks and voles I love to see everything improving, the water is much cleaner now too.

My favourite bit of the park is that stunning Hawthorne Tree right there. It makes me smile and I get excited about it flowering
I love the group and the positive vibe, the smiles it creates The community, everybody getting what they need from the park and feeling positive.
It’s a purpose, I just facilitate it to make it possible, everyone decides what they want to do, or asks how they can help
