"Draw with Denmark," a UNESCO Global campaign, originated in 2021 as a Danish charity event during the Covid pandemic. This initiative encourages sharing creative, positive messages of hope, having engaged children and young people from 45 countries and cities across all continents. The program has generated significant enthusiasm and captured participants' imaginations, even featuring on BBC News and BBC Look North. It has also fostered a unique sense of wonder, resulting in thousands of drawings. Exhibitions showcasing drawings by children in York schools have been held internationally at the National Gallery in Copenhagen, the UNESCO Creative Cities’ Annual Conference in Braga, Portugal, and Cali, the UNESCO Conference in Paris, as well as in Wuhan, China, and York.
