As the first point of access for the history museum’s campus, this house contains various exhibits inside.
Roxboro Male Academy
Built in 1842, this home served as a residence, a small unincorporated school, and a parsonage.
The Curtis Long Memorial House
Early 1920’s home built by local contractor George W. Kane for the Ruffin Woody family. Named in honor of Curtis Long, advertising executive and Roxboro native.
Today it serves as an event venue for the museum.
Replica Bell Tower
A replica tower that contains bells from the 1800s and 1930s county courthouses.
R.P. Brooks General Store
This restored general store lets you take a step back in time to the early 1900s. Here, you can see the original everyday goods personanians would have been shopping for- from coffee and fuel to tools and other items.
Van Hook Subscription School
Built in 1810, this is said to be one of the oldest log school houses still standing in the state, offering a glimpse of education for students 200+ years ago.
