2025 Annual Report BOLDly Reimagining Aging Well
A Year of Bold Imagination This year marked a turning point for ACCA. For nearly six decades, we’ve ensured every older adult within our reach has the support and resources to age well. But the world is changing and so are the needs and expectations of our community. Adults are living longer, staying active, and seeking connection, purpose, and belonging, and ACCA is right beside them, strategically strengthening our foundation and expanding opportunities that help our older neighbors live fully. ACCA’s vision to BOLDly Reimagine Aging Well is a product of deep listening and community partnership rooted in three phases: Learn, Dream, and Create. We asked, learned, and listened to the needs of our community. We imagined new ways to serve and sustain our mission. And now, we are creating. A BOLD strategy is more than change - it’s a promise. In bringing these ideas to life, we are creating a vibrant hub where everyone belongs, with programs as diverse and dynamic as the community we serve.
You can already see our growth and innovation in: The expansion of exercise classes, social gatherings, and international adventures through the Center for Active Living. Enhanced enrichment programs like “Meaningful Moments” at the Dementia Resource Center, a place where people connect through art, music, and activities. The gratitude of families who trust our Aging Life Care Coordinator to guide them as they seek out support for the longterm care and wellbeing of loved ones. Ensuring no older neighbor goes without a nutritious meal, a safety check, and good conversation through Meals on Wheels. This report is not only a look back but a celebration of moving forward toward a better future. Every class attended, every caregiver supported, every meal delivered, and every person who feels like they belong is possible because of you, our, donors, partners, volunteers, and friends. Together, we’re providing a place where every older adult has the chance to not only age and live well but to THRIVE.
A Celebration of Community Our year was filled with moments of joy and generosity that were a reminder of how lucky we are to be part of a community that trusts us, invests in our mission, and allows us to dream and create BOLDly. While the mission runs deep, we thrive with joy, fun, and gratitude in all we do!

Generosity in Action 535 volunteers gave over 11,100 hours delivering meals, tending the community garden, guiding others through Medicare enrollment, sharing their expertise by leading classes, and bringing energy to every event.
Turkeypalooza Donors, volunteers, and staff came together to distribute 332 turkeys and 150 prepared meals, allowing almost 500 older neighbors and their families to gather around a plentiful table on Thanksgiving. In total, your generosity provided 1,484 meals, while funding our senior hunger initiatives year-round.
Stories of Impact Center for Active Living: Adventure at Any Age From fitness classes to international travel, the Center for Active Living is proving that belonging, exploration, and discovery don’t have an age limit. For Liz Johnson, a CAL trip to celebrate her 70th birthday became a milestone: “I danced like I hadn’t in decades. It wasn’t just the destination, it was the camaraderie, the laughter, and the joy we shared.” Liz says her recent experiences with CAL are full of people who “lift you up,” and she’s excited to “try new things” in this stage of life. Whether it’s traveling, joining a local hike, or taking a dance class, CAL provides opportunities, so every older adult has the chance to keep learning, exploring, and thriving.
Walking Beside Families Through Care Coordination When Mariah and Brian’s mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis left them overwhelmed, they turned to ACCA’s new Aging Life Care Coordination program. Guided by Director of Care Coordination Jenna Moon – a Certified Aging Life Care Professional – they found clarity, dignity, and peace of mind in choosing the right memory care facility for their mother. “Jenna helped us see clearly when emotions clouded everything,” Mariah reflected. “We wanted Mom’s final home to be filled with dignity and care.” This is why Care Coordination exists. To ensure families don’t have to navigate the journey of aging alone. “I feel honored to walk that road with our families,” says Jenna. “ACCA is turning community needs into effective programs that change lives while honoring the values of dignity, autonomy, and compassion.”
Creating Meaningful Moments at the Dementia Resource Center In its first year, the Dementia Resource Center created a lasting impact on members and their caregivers – proving that support, direction, and moments of connection can be part of a diagnosis that may seem overwhelming. For Joan and Dick Clark, the DRC provided more than resources, it gave them the opportunity to reconnect. At the Meaningful Moments Memory Cafés, they rediscovered laughter, community, and the reminder that joy is possible in the face of memory loss. “We enjoy activities as a couple while socializing in a safe and supportive environment,” Joan shared. “We have fun!” For Joan, the “fun” has been just as critical as the support. It reminds her that even when receiving a difficult diagnosis, joy and connection are still possible. With caregiver support, education, enrichment for people living with dementia, and respite through ACCA’s Day Program, which provided nearly 6000 hours to 100 caregivers, the DRC continues to be lifeline for families across Northeast Georgia.
2025 By the Numbers This year has brought a time of uncertainty. Costs are rising, traditional funding streams are shifting, and the path ahead can feel unpredictable. Yet through it all, ACCA continues to stand strong and committed to our older neighbors that we serve. Guided by our BOLDly Reimagine Aging Well strategy, we are taking proactive steps to diversify revenue and grow private support, ensuring that our mission is sustainable for the decades ahead.

Looking Ahead As we look toward 2026, our mission remains the same: ensuring every older adult has the chance to age well. What’s changing is how boldly we live out that mission. A Fresh Look: A new brand launch that reflects our vibrant, inclusive vision for aging well. Exploring Our Space: Assessing facilities to create welcoming, innovative hubs of connection. Expanding Opportunities: More enrichment opportunities offered through the Dementia Resource Center and broadening reach beyond Clarke, Barrow and Jackson. Additional wellness and social programs at the Center for Active Living, and exciting travel and adventure for all who seek it. At the same time, Meals on Wheels, transportation, and caregiver support remain our foundation and a critical component of our mission to serve older neighbors. While strategies evolve, our promise stays constant ensuring the right to age well for older adults today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. Because aging well isn’t just about adding years to life. It’s about adding life to every year.
Connect. Create. Learn. Travel. Thrive. At ACCA, these are more than words; they are an invitation. Together, we’re building a community where older adults and their families can find belonging, purpose, and joy at every stage of life. Whether you share a meal, join a class, volunteer your time, or invest in our mission, you are part of reimagining aging boldly.
