ACADEMY DOG TRAINING

SUMMER 2025 OFF-LEASH COURSE
SUMMER 2025 OFF-LEASH COURSE
This is Advanced Off-Leash Obedience Training—the next level of your journey. This class is designed to extend our obedience principles to those seeking more freedom in their relationship with their pups.
Examples of how this class can apply to your life include: if you're an avid hiker, want stronger backyard recall, or simply want to enjoy an off-leash journey to grab a pup cup.
The program is structured around eight group sessions. Think of it as a continuation of our Saturday group classes from your basic obedience days. Each week, as a group, we’ll learn something new.
The focus of this program is on three key skills: recall, walking in heel, and extended time + distance downstays. These concepts make off-leash time more than just letting your dog roam in the park—they help you confidently take your dog anywhere with freedom.
This program is built on repetition. You’ll hear your instructor emphasize “REPS” often. Not just the REPS we complete in class, but the ones you commit to at home that truly push your team forward.
Speaking of teams, one of the best parts of this journey is learning to view yourself and your dog as a unit—a two-being team set on an adventure. The REPS you build together will strengthen your bond in ways you’ve never experienced before.
Lastly, if you were wondering—REPS stands for: Repetition Enhances Precision & Skill.
This course is only for clients who already demonstrate control on a loose leash. Your dog must respond to verbal commands and a full understanding of the “No” command. These classes will teach you how to train your dog to be proficient in off leash training.
