Thirty years have flown by. Over that time, Academy at the Lakes has been a beacon of high-quality education, lighting the path FORWARD! on the north side of Tampa. Families are drawn here, attracted not just by our top-notch academics and proven results but also by the diversity we cherish, our warm and accessible culture, and our unwavering belief that every student, every family, and every community member matters. We’re all about moving FORWARD! at Academy. So many elements of our program — academics, athletics, the arts, and other clubs and activities — all provide tremendous opportunities for leadership, building connections, fostering creativity, and personal growth. They propel our students and our community FORWARD! We’ve expanded our offerings so much; now it is time for our physical facilities to catch up and step FORWARD! Our children, our families, and our program deserve the enhancements this campaign will bring. It’s time we move FORWARD! THE TIME IS NOW!

Welcome Center and Campus Beautification The beautiful natural setting of Academy’s McCormick Campus affords the school community sweeping views of Lake Myrtle and shade beneath the oaks on the campus green. The project includes a new plaza at the front of the McCormick Campus and a quadrangle in front of McCormick Hall, both of which will add to the campus atmosphere by providing additional space for members of the school community to gather and connect. The front of the campus will include attractive fencing and a Welcome Center.
Phase II East Campus Development From 2013 through 2021, Academy was able to acquire significant undeveloped acreage very near the existing campuses.
Upon
completion of Phase I of the Forward! project, Phase II will begin with the development of athletic fields. Facilities for football, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball, and more are in the active planning stages today. They will be ready to go as soon as the building of Phase I is complete.
FORWARD! Academy’s growth has been synonymous with the expansion of Pasco County and the North Tampa area. Centrally located in Land O’ Lakes, Academy employs more than 100 faculty and staff members, and partners with area businesses to be a resource for the broader community. The school is now securely placed in the top-rank of Tampa Bay’s independent schools while being by far the youngest of those top-ranked schools. Its excellent reputation is known throughout the Tampa Bay area. The Forward! campaign will keep the school on its strong upward trajectory. Please join us in bringing our bright future to life.
