A tree does not become fruitful simply because someone admires its branches. Long before its fruit is visible, something is happening beneath the surface. Its roots are pushing deeper, drawing from the soil, while its trunk quietly becomes stronger against the wind. Seasons come and go; some bring rain, others heat, but the tree keeps growing. Its ability to thrive is not determined by the weather alone but by what it is rooted in. Life is much the same. We measure thriving by what is visible: opportunities, accomplishments, open doors, or the abundance we experience. Yet Godʼs idea of thriving goes deeper. It begins with what we are rooted in. A life rooted in Godʼs Word is not promised an absence of storms; it is given the strength and wisdom to keep growing through them. The life of Joshua offers a powerful picture of perseverance. God had given him a promise, but possessing that promise required more than just excitement about what lay ahead. Joshua had to move, obey, remain courageous, and carefully follow the instructions God had given him (Joshua, 1:8). The promise provided the destination while Godʼs principles provided the pathway. Perhaps this is the distinction we sometimes miss. We want the fruit, but how healthy are our roots? We desire the results of His promises, yet the principles of His Word teach us to walk in those promises. Thriving, therefore, is not simply about receiving what God has said; it is about allowing His Word to shape how we think, decide, respond, and live. There will always be changing seasons; and regardless of their intensity, deeply rooted people do not have to be uprooted by the occurrence of those changes. Like the tree planted by the riverside, always refreshed and nourished by the Spirit and the Word, they keep growing because their confidence is not ultimately in the season but in God, their source, who forever remains faithful. As you journey through this edition, consider your own roots. What is shaping your decisions? What promises are sustaining your hope? And what principles are guiding your steps? God has not called us merely to survive what life brings; He has called us to grow, thrive, and bear fruit that remains. Rooted in Him, your prosperity will not dissipate. Our prosperity is due to applying all of God's principles on a continual basis and putting His Word first.” – Gloria Copeland

FROM PASTORS DESK
THE JOURNEY OF A GLORIOUS LIFE Journeys are a major part of life. The family bonds we enjoy often result from staying connected with family members, and sometimes that involves visiting them in distant places. Merchants – the people that make it possible for goods made in one part of the world to benefit people in another part of world – most often have to travel across vast lands and seas to buy and sale goods. Today we have an entire global industry – the travel and tourism industry – that exists to make it possible for people to make journeys. The contribution of the travel and tourism industry to the global economy in 2026 is estimated to be US$11.6 trillion (nearly 10% of global GDP), and it supports 366 million jobs, or roughly 1 in 9 jobs worldwide. The vessels that make travel possible such as ships, airplanes and buses, do so by relaying on maps to move people from their departure to destination points. Those maps guide them along the different points of their journeys. In this era of the Global Position System (GPS), those maps have been digitized to enable real-time tracking of a vesselʼs progress along its journey. A crew operating a vessel does not see the destination at the point of departure using natural eyes. They rely on maps to get there. To do so, they must be confident that the map they are following and the gadgets reading it are both accurate. That confidence is what makes a physical journey possible. The same is true for a journey of faith. The believer must rely on the promises of God in order to keep within Godʼs path and plan. In our individual and collective journey of faith, “…we do not lose heart…for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NKJV) The message is clear: First, journeys sometimes involve unexpected setbacks such as a tyre puncture in the case of a physical bus journey. The spiritual journey of the believer is a walk of faith (2 Corinthians 5:7). This walk calls for courage to overcome the unexpected when it occurs. Without this courage, it is possible to lose heart – to faint and give up. A celebration of any milestones we reach in our journey of faith is therefore, first and foremost, a celebration of courage. Unlike material things that can be seen and touched, courage is an invisible force. You cannot see it with your natural eyes; you only see its results. Second, life is lived in levels. To operate at the level of the “exceeding and eternal weight of glory”, we must keep focused on invisible things. The end game in the journey of faith is for the believer, as a son of God, to radiant the image of the Father. Jesus, the Bible says, “…is the image of the invisible God…it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently (Colossians 1:15,19). That is the case for us too as individual believers and the corporate church. In other words, who we become along the journey of faith is a higher measure of success than what we acquire along the journey.

THE HEART AND THE HAND
In this season of Record Recovery, the mandate for the saints is to possess the "skill of the Son"—a specialized competence so refined that it commands the gates of influence. The foundation for this mandate is in Psalm 78:72: “And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.” This verse reveals the two pillars of Kingdom advancement: the Heart and the Hand. Integrity is often defined as "who you are when no one is looking," but biblically it is the spiritual equivalent of structural integrity in engineering. Just as a building is deemed sound when its internal frame can support its external weight, a leader with integrity is undivided and resilient. Proverbs 11:3 reminds us, "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity." This heart of integrity serves as an anchor, ensuring that your motive is as pure as the excellence of your technique. Character is the only substance capable of sustaining the weight of the influence that skill attracts. Without a heart rooted in God, a platform built by human hands will eventually buckle under the pressures of pride or compromise. Skill is not a static gift; it is a developed capacity forged through a partnership between the natural and the supernatural. We must recognize that your professional craft is a spiritual matter. In Exodus 31:3-5, we see the "Bezalel anointing," where God fills individuals with His Spirit specifically to bestow technical mastery: "I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship." This proves that your work—whether it involves complex strategy, artistic design, or manual labor is never "secular". Your professional skill is a vessel for the Spirit. True craftsmanship begins at the intersection of technical ability and divine inspiration. Stewardship of this anointing requires the discipline of refinement. Ecclesiastes 10:10 warns, "If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success." Do not mistake motion for progress. We have to invest in training, research, and deliberate practice. David did not face Goliath as a novice; he sharpened his edge in the wilderness, practicing on lions and bears until the complex became second nature. Skill is a force multiplier—it allows you to strike with the ease and authority of a master. Your journey is not a solo climb. While you are responsible for the "workmanship," God is responsible for the "connections." He strategically places destiny helpers who recognize your anointing and bridge the gap between the workshop and the palace. Scripture says: "Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings..." (Proverbs 22:29) Skill is the currency of the Kingdom that buys access to high places. However, while the destiny helper provides the opportunity, your mastery provides the justification for your seat at the table. We are currently in a window of Record Recovery, which demands strategic positioning. Therefore, shift from the mindset of a servant to that of a Son. While a servant merely follows orders, a son manages the Fatherʼs estate. In the parable of the Talents, the "good and faithful" were those who used their skills to multiply their resources. Multiplication is the evidence of mastery and this earns you the right to be heard. The ultimate goal of our skillfulness is influence for the sake of the Gospel. By merging a heart sold out to God with hands that are masters of their trade, we move from the sidelines of society to the seats of influence.

Ngobe, Makindye Ssabagabo| For over two months Mr. Kizza had been suffering from malaria; in early September he had an unforgettable experience. He was lying in the chair feeling weak; before long he was gasping for breath right at home. His wife rushed him to the hospital. While on the road, he lost consciousness; he literally felt his life slipping away. His body became heavy; he could hardly carry himself; he couldnʼt lift his tongue to speak. When he regained consciousness, he found himself on oxygen in a hospital bed as he couldnʼt breathe by himself. Mr. Kizza began to put his house in order, submitting his intimate details to his wife. In the midst of his pitiful situation, he said a prayer to God and asked for another opportunity of life. By the next day he was able to breathe on his own; he then received treatment and was discharged from the hospital. Over the next few days, Mr. Kizza saw his body shed off the outer layer of skin like a babyʼs body does, which to him was a sign of manifested prayer. God brought him back from the jaws of death. Meanwhile, he experienced love from neighbors and strangers who rushed to his aid even when they hardly knew him. Glory be to God.
Salaama, Makindye| David thanks God for the favor and progress he has experienced in his career. Shortly after nursing school, he was employed but had a dream to manage and run his own clinic. He successfully purchased a small clinic from a colleague he had worked with a few years back. In order to get an operating license, he needed to expand this establishment. He believed God to do so despite being constrained by resources. With Godʼs help, David obtained a second room for expansion of his clinic. It took time, but he steadily got equipment to run his clinic. Early this year an opportunity came his way. A building next to where he was operating his clinic was up for rent. His wife encouraged David to make an offer. Though skeptical, he rose with faith in his heart and spoke to the owner. He experienced immense favor before the landlord. The owner turned down offers from other interested parties with much more money than David had. The landlord eventually halted sell of the building, and appointed it for David despite his low offer. David ended up with the building at a laughable price. David explains it as the favor of God. The Lord still provided for his tuition around the very same time, and he was able to continue with his studies.

YOUTH CORNER
Temptation Bible Lesson
Do you ever feel drawn to something because of the "thrill" and danger it offers? BEWARE! Beware of eating in the enemy's territory! "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8 1 Peter 5:8 warns us that Satan is looking for someone that he can devour or destroy. It says we must be self-controlled and alert. Remember self-control is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:23-25). The way we can remain alert and self-controlled is to keep our focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2) and allow His Holy Spirit to guide us (Ephesians 5:18). We are not alone; God will help us if we follow the advice of James 4:7 "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." ~www.creativebiblestudy.com
