Delivered and Loaded for Liberty
“…when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’…you shall say to him, ‘By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” (Exodus 13:14)
Egypt represents the great civilization of the world. In biblical terms, it is the embodiment of the world system – a human order apart from God. This great country once held the nation of Israel under severe bondage for around 200 years; and it took divine intervention to free Israel from its grip.
When God intervened to deliver Israel from Egypt, it was more than just a one-off event. He acted to establish a precedent and pattern for His people in both the Old and New Testament. God’s divine action was threefold: unprecedented favour for wealth transfer; overwhelming judgement on the enemy and full restoration of health upon Israel.
In the first part of God’s deliverance of Israel from Egypt, He instructed Moses on a wealth transfer strategy: “…let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold.” (Exodus 11:2). As part of this strategy, “…the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians…so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.” (Exodus 11:3; 12: 36). Keep in mind that Egypt speaks of today’s world order and the heathen running it.
After granting His people favour, God executed the final and ultimate judgement on Egypt – death of all firstborn: “I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord…And it came to pass at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock…And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” (Exodus 12:12,29,33).
Finally, God saw to it that there was full restoration of the health and strength of His people had lost from years of harsh slave labour: “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” (Psalm 105:37).
Again, note that the above deliverance was not just a one-off event; it was a precedent and pattern for God’s dealing with His people. For you and me in the Church today, the Bible says that we, like the nation of Israel, are to be thankful to God “…who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love”. (Colossians 1:12-13)
That means the day you submitted to Jesus as your Lord and savior, you inherited the benefits of the strong hand of God by which he delivered the church from Satan’s kingdom. Our entry into the kingdom of God has come with great favour, great vindication and great wealth and health.
The favour of God on your life as believer, is there to bring about the transfer of the glory of the gentile into your life, to bestow upon you honour and to restore your health and strength. You are called to “arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you…the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the gentiles shall come to you” (Isaiah 60:1,5 NKJV).

Living The Victorious Life
Why? Because we have an adversary. Satan is not fighting you for sport. He is the god of this world, actively working to oppose the will of God in your life. His strategies are subtle but intentional; he will impose fear, discouragement, doubt, delays, and all sorts of spiritual blockages so as to keep you from experiencing the abundant life God has
Therefore, fighting the good fight of faith means refusing to be ignorant of God’s will and refusing to be intimidated by an enemy who is already defeated. Having this at the back of your mind should cause you to put up a fight against the devil’s schemes or any life that’s below the standard of the life God intends for you. You have to be intentional
We ought to pay attention to what’s going on in our lives. We have to audit our faith walk. Ask yourself. Am I living victoriously, or have I resigned to certain situations? Are my decisions influenced by fear, doubt, or limitation? Through these audits, we are able to identify where we ought to fight the good
faith? If the answer is no, then it’s time to pick up the right tools and fight the good fight of faith.
We live in a generation where Christians have access to endless sermons, teachings, and content. Knowledge is abundant. But practical application is scarce. Many believers know about faith, but few live by faith. James 1:22–25 (TPT) warns us, “Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it… If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message, you become like someone who looks in the mirror and forgets who they are.”
The blessing is not in hearing. The blessing is in doing. If we want to live victoriously, we must act on the truth we know. We must become doers of the Word, not collectors of sermons. Don’t just get excited and comfortable at only knowing about faith or everyone else’s testimonies of faith but yours too!

Seguku, Makindye Ssabagabo| Alex is grateful to God for His timely intervention and deliverance. His wife had taken a bank loan, which she faithfully repaid in instalments as agreed. However, when financial challenges arose, she began to default on the payments. Though only a small balance remained, the bank moved to seize their home, leaving the family distressed and panicked. While Mr. Kikambi was at work, a client learned of his situation. Without being asked, the client offered to clear the entire outstanding balance. Hallelujah! This is how their home was saved. Mr. Kikambi rejoices in God’s faithfulness and gives thanks for such help in a time of trouble.
Seguku,Makindye Ssabagabo | Cathy testifies of God’s healing hand upon her life. After feeling unwell, she went to the hospital for a medical check-up. The tests revealed that her haemoglobin levels were critically low. She was anaemic. Her condition required immediate medical attention, and she was given drips to stabilize her condition. Because of the findings, the doctors doubled her dosage. During that time, she kept declaring wholeness and healing to her body even when she was weak and unable to function as usual. And her body responded to the word of God. To the amazement of her doctors, her body responded remarkably well. Her haemoglobin levels rose to 11.6 in record time, a recovery that exceeded medical expectations and surprised the doctor, who had anticipated a much longer healing process. Cathy gives all glory to God for His healing touch and faithfulness.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Are you ready for a relationship with Jesus as your Lord and Savior? It begins with a simple prayer in faith. Here is one you can repeat out loud enough to hear yourself: Dear God, I accept your forgiveness of my sin. I believe with my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead for my benefit, and I now declare Him to be my savior and Lord. Amen!

Made New
Here is an activity you can do with your children. Help them understand that sin has messed up how we look to God; only God can forgive and clean us so we look new again.
“So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them”. Genesis 1:27
“If anyone belongs to Christ, then he is made new. The old things have gone; everything is made new” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Demonstrate:
Show your children a clean mirror. Let each one look at themselves in the mirror as you ask them, “Who do you see?” Take time to make silly faces in the mirror.
Discuss:
Explain that a mirror can show us what we look like. It shows our reflection. In the beginning God created us to be His reflection. We were made to look and be like God. Take some finger paint or pudding and rub it all over the mirror until they can’t see themselves. Ask if that was a good thing or a bad thing to do.
It made our mirror not able to reflect; we can no longer see ourselves in it. That’s not a very good thing.
In the Bible there is something called “sin.” Rubbing the paint on the mirror made it so dirty that we can’t see ourselves in it anymore. Sin or the bad things we do or say, make it that God can’t see Himself in us either. It messed up our purpose or what we were made to do.
Spray water on the mirror (you may even want to write JESUS on your bottle). Tell them that only God can clean us up and make us new. This is called forgiveness.
Jesus came to earth to live a perfect life, never doing or saying anything bad, so He could die on a cross so we could have this forgiveness.
Read 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”
Have the kids help you clean the mirror while repeating, “God can make me new!”
