One of the most essential tools you must carry with you throughout the year is faith—Bible faith. This is your lifeline. Scripture teaches us that “above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Ephesians 6:16 NKJV). Faith is not optional; it is a shield, meant to be worn at all times.
As we journey into 2026—The Year of Record Recoveries—faith is the means by which we plunder the enemies of our freedom. It is your weapon of war to recover all that had been stolen from you. The Bible declares, “This is the victory that overcomes the world—even our faith” (1 John 5:4).
Make yourself conversant with faith and do not cast it away, for everything in this world responds to the authority of faith. Faith grants us access to divine realities and enables us to operate in the class of God. Jesus tells us in Mathew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Pause and reflect on this for a while. This is why we must continually put on faith.
You may ask, how do I access faith? Romans 10:17 gives us the answer: “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” As you give attention to God’s Word, chewing on it over and over and over again, it opens itself to you—and faith grows. Make it your goal to experience everything that faith has made available for you.

Self-Discipline: The Power of the Extraordinary
On 15th February, 2026, the ALFC church family will host the pioneer edition of Service of Honour—a celebration of the Life, Leadership and Legacy of Dr. Handle A. Leslie, an educator, teacher, inspirational writer and founding leader of Abundant Life Faith Centre (ALFC) ministries.
In the following paragraphs are part of the timeless truths that Dr. Leslie lived and faithfully imparted to many souls—then and now. Indeed, our lives and generation today continue to radiate with the light of these truths, and your story too can become one of glory when you embrace and continue in them.
…Discipline to a person’s life is as fuel to a vehicle. The diligent person recognizes this most important force; he realizes that he cannot accomplish much in life without it. Discipline connotes being put in a straight line. It is being a disciple, committed to the teachings and dictates of one’s master.
With discipline, a person moves according to a prescribed plan of action. He gives himself to an assignment or task with wholeheartedness and commitment. He is willing to subject his intellect, emotions and will to that which is for the betterment and empowerment of his life.
In order for discipline to play a vital role in your life, there are things that must be sacrificed; sometimes those sacrifices may be painful, but by yielding yourself to that which is greater, the benefit is also greater. A person who is not disciplined will soon retard his progress and even jeopardize his assignment. There is need for discipline in thinking the right thoughts, portraying the right attitude and expressing the right behavior.
The right ethics must be developed if diligence is to play a vital role in your life. Being ethical in whatever you do stems from the creation of a correct value system. Situational ethics says, “Everyone is doing it, so it is right.” But the ethical person says, “I do what is right in relation to the word of God and my conscience.” The need to discipline our spirit to be subject to the dictates of God’s word is essential if we are to have a conscience that is alert.
Another important aspect of discipline is this: you have to read the correct material that will motivate and direct you in a manner conducive to a holistic lifestyle. The information you permit into your mind and heart will eventually filter itself through your life, and by so doing, your entire life will be influenced by such information. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.” (MSG).
A diligent person understands that he cannot allow the negative information of life to victimize his future. The company you keep will determine the kind of morals you uphold. In a society influenced by negativity, there is need to know who you are and also know those you associate with. This kind of association is not mere acquaintance but rather one whereby you give entrance to those you relate with to become the influencers of your life. Life is too precious for you to sit by in a carefree manner and allow negative people to kill your dreams and influence you in the wrong direction.
If you want to be the best, you have to be willing to pay the price to be the best. While others are playing games, you have to be doing that which will make you the best. Any performance that exhibits excellence is always as a result of discipline in practice.

The Ways of God
As we begin this Year of Record Recoveries, we also begin a journey into greatness. Both recovery and greatness follow Biblical patterns, and scripture teaches us that we are called to know and be acquainted with the ways of God. King Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God. Before engaging in anything, he sought God’s approval and direction. Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.” (2 Chronicles 27:6)
When we put God first in all our ways—when we involve Him in every detail of our lives—we position ourselves for greatness. We must move from merely informing God about our plans to fully consulting Him about the
King Solomon, despite the great wisdom God gave him, clearly showed that divine direction comes when we submit all our ways to the Lord. God leads us to the right place, the right people, and the right time when we acknowledge Him in everything we do. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:6)
As the sheep of God, we all need direction—where the green past the waters are, and what to do about our enemies. The journey to greatness requires total submission of our ways to Him.
King Uzziah reigned for fifty-two years, making him the second l king in the Bible. The secret of his success was simple: he sought the Lord, and God caused him to prosper (2 Chronicles 26:5).
In 2026, like King Uzziah, we must put God first in our lives and submit all our ways under divinely ordained spiritual leadership. When we do this, God will make us prosper. Our prosperity depends on how we prioritize God. Uzziah, the father of King Jotham, undoubtedly raised him in the fear of the LORD, passing on this godly foundation.
The Bible describes Moses as the meekest man of his time, yet God used him to perform mighty works that have never been repeated. His secret, King Jotham, was that he knew the ways of God. In moments of solitude, God revealed His ways to Moses.
“He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” (Psalm 103:7)
Moses also instructed the Israelites to walk in the ways of God. Knowing and walking in the ways of God brings the blessings of health, prosperity, long life, and ultimately the grace to enter and possess the promised land.

Testimonies
Kyengera, Kinaawa| Titus is a testament to God’s grace and goodness. He found himself in a very challenging and trying season. Everything was going wayward. Spiritually, he was under attack; his soul was in anguish, with barely any enthusiasm left to live. This also affected his health and livelihood. But he held on to the word in Psalms 27:13 and believed God would come through for him: “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
He almost succumbed to the temptation to seclude himself and give up the habit of fellowshipping with the brethren, but he did not. Deep down he knew it was Satan’s ploy to get him isolated and finish him off. He instead made ALFC his local church and served there in, commending himself to God and to the word of His grace, which built him. He saw himself being perfected and rose up to fight the good fight of faith.
Around that time, he also enrolled at Charis Bible College and began his studies. Though turbulent, with one challenge after the other. He really benefited from the revelation of the word, sharpening from fellow students, and most of all, the realignment with purpose and the vision of God for his life. Titus completed the 3-year Bible school program and graduated on the 15th of November 2025. Something he cherished for so long. He now identifies with Christ as a son and a co-heir with Him.
His son-ship has positioned him to exercise dominion over contradictions of life, and he is on a recovery course, progressively reclaiming back whatever the enemy, Satan, had stolen from him. Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ.
Ntinda, Nakawa| Early this year, Flavia had an experience that added to her faith. One evening her right toe began to experience excruciating pain that shot right through her body. The toes became paralyzed; she couldn’t move or stretch them. She lay down in agony most of the night, yet she kept in prayer. At dawn she made a prayer of surrender and asked the Lord to grant her a few hours of sleep. The Lord answered her prayer; before she knew it, she was sound asleep. That wasn’t all; when she awoke, the pain was completely gone. Without any medication, she could now touch, stretch, and move her toes. Glory to God who hears us when we pray.
We’d Love to Pray with you?
God does answer prayer. Matthew 18:19 teaches, “…if two of you agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven…” Let us join faith with you and petition the Lord for divine ideas, solutions, and manifestations in your life. Go ahead and write to us when you need prayer: prayer@abundantlifefaithcentre.org.
The Bible as our GPS
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16
I love that the word “inspired” here literally means “breathed.” All Scripture has been spoken or breathed by God Himself. Communication is key to any relationship; it’s the way we get to know each other. The Bible is one primary way God communicates to us about who He is, His love for us, what’s best for us, etc.
2 Timothy 3:16 explains how the Bible can become God’s GPS for us in life. It’s profitable for:
1. Teaching (telling us how to get to where we need to be),
2. Reproof or rebuking (telling us when we have taken a wrong turn),
3. Correcting (getting us back on track going the right direction), and
4. Training in righteousness (continuing to guide us towards God’s best
Take out your GPS app on your phone and type in the destination “Heaven.” Mine tells me, “No results.” Only God’s Word of Truth can direct us there. Jesus said it very plain and simple in John 14:6—"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” God not only told us the way, but He came to earth to show us the way; He doesn’t want any of us to remain lost!
It's important to read God’s Word daily. And let’s not just read it and apply it in our own lives, but let’s share it with others so they can know the way back
Even as believers in Christ, though, we can sometimes lose our way and find ourselves on the wrong road or path. God has given us the Bible to show us the way back to Him and how to enjoy this life He's given us and find purpose in His plan for us.
