Welcome to Worship

Why do we worship?

We worship to gather as a community of believers, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, to witness to one another about how the Holy Spirit is working in our lives, and to be renewed for the work of God. All are welcome, and we are glad you are here today.

Act of Discipleship

Jesus lived out the healing and transforming power of God’s reign. He fed the hungry, healed the sick, forgave sinners, and broke purity rules to bring life and healing. He shared meals with those deemed unworthy and redefined holiness as a source of healing and hope. He challenged the powerful and called his followers to love God, love neighbor and see even enemies and strangers as neighbors. Jesus gathered a diverse group to embody God’s reign, rooted in justice, compassion, and radical love. Insisting on the value of all, he called together a disparate group of disciples to be the pioneers of God’s reign. We are descendants of those radical pioneers.

For your discernment:

1. Does the church have a role to take regarding immigration justice in the United States? If so, what actions are appropriate? If not, why not?

2. Would you be willing to participate in a Bible study, Called to Journey, Called to Welcome: A Biblical Perspective on Immigration? If so, please contact Pastor Ellen or send a note to the office.

We gather for worship Sunday mornings… 10:30 a.m. In-Person and online for the summer season.

To learn more about the life of the church, if you have a special need, or wish to have someone be in touch with you, please note it on the attendance/offering envelope or contact the church office 920-231-2800 or admin@abumc.org.

Children are welcome and wanted in worship. As a church family, we love the wiggles and noises they bring, and we celebrate them as a gift from God.

Online Giving is available through a link on our website at abumc.org or use this QR code. If you need help, contact the church office.

Gendered and single stall/family restrooms are located between the coat racks and the upper side of the ramp at the parking lot entrance. Changing tables are in the family restroom and the nursery.

The sanctuary is also equipped with a hearing loop.
