All purses are subject to Horse Racing Alberta approval.

Horse Racing Alberta may require all horses declared to stake races to be on the grounds of Century Downs or Century Mile racetracks up to 48 hours prior to the race in which such horses are to start.

These horses may be placed in a retention barn.

Horses placed in retention will be subject to the Rules of Retention as directed by HRA. 01/26/2026

ALBERTA FOALED STAKES CONDITIONS All races may be raced in either (a) an elimination and a final, or (b) a final only.

Races conducted on an 11/16th track are subject to the following conditions For 3-YEAR-OLDS 1.If nine (9) horses or less declare to start, the race shall be conducted as a final only.

2.If ten (10) horses or more declare, the race shall be conducted in eliminations and a final.

FOR 2-YEAR-OLDS (Beginning with foals of 2024) 1.If eight (8) horses or less declare to start, the race shall be conducted as a final only.

2. If eleven (11) or more declare, the race shall be split into divisions completing the appropriate leg 3. All declaration fees will be added to the division the declared horse is in.

Races for 3-year-olds in all Alberta Sires Stakes where eliminations split 3 or more ways, the minimum purse shall be $7500.00 For races split into divisions: 1. Horses owned by the same owner(s) must be seeded in separate divisions to the extent or degree possible.

2. Horses trained by the same trainer must be seeded in separate divisions to the extent or degree possible To qualify for the 3-year-old Super Final, the following will apply: 1. Horses that have started in an elimination.
