Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gets warm welcome in Pakistan Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Pakistan on Sunday, kicking off a 6­day Asia trip that will also take him to India and China. The crown prince was greeted with a 21­gun salute and warm embraces from Prime Minister Imran Khan and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, just months after he was linked tothe murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Imran Khan drove the crown prince to the prime ministerʼs house for discussions. Monday has been declared a public holiday and schools and offices will be closed in honor of the Saudi visitor and his delegation of businessmen and Cabinet ministers. The visit to Islamabad comes amidst deep divisions between Pakistan and its two neighbors, India and Saudi foe Iran, both of which accuse Pakistan of harboring militants who have recently carried out suicide attacks in their territories.

Rapper 21 Savage was detained by US immigration authorities on Sunday for overstaying his visa, and is now facing deportation to the United Kingdom. The news rocked the hip hop world and shocked his legions of fans, as the rapper has always said he is a local act from Atlanta, Georgia. 21 Savage, whose birth name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, is an "unlawfully present United Kingdom national," according to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE added that Abraham­Joseph had been illegally in the country since his visa ran out in 2005. The 26-year­old rapper has been well known in Atlanta since 2015, and quickly made his way onto the national scene. His second studio album, "I Am > I Was" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in December. He is known for his conversational delivery and candid sincerity about issues like police brutality and systemic racism. He is nominated for two Grammy awards for his work on fellow rapper Post Maloneʼs "Rockstar," including Record of the Year. The awards will be presented on February 10.

ʼDrawing Europe Togetherʼ: Illustrators against Brexit g A book project initiated by Gruffalo-creator Axel Scheffler collects 45 works of artists who feel the UK should not leave the EU. Great Britainʼs scheduled Brexit day, March 29, is only a few weeks away, but many of Europeʼs artists and intellectuals are still struggling with the upcoming event. "The fatal decision in favor of Brexit, with which the country — it seems to me — is massively damaging itself, fills me with incredulity, pain and anger," says Axel Scheffler. Though he was born in Hamburg, the creator of the

childrenʼs book character "Gruffalo" has been living in London for almost three decades. Scheffler invited illustrator colleagues to put down their own vision of Europe on paper. The resulting book, Drawing Europe Togeth‐ er, collects illustrations by 45 artists. First published by Macmillan in Great Britain in November, the German version has just come out this month. Schefflerʼs illustration adorns the cover of the book, showing a group of animals traversing along and carrying their own coloring pencils. They on the march to a Europe that is growing together.

Held annually in several major cities with notable landmarks for skyline backdrops, the Red Bull Air Race is Formula 1 in the air, presenting incredible stunt-flying spectacles performed by the world’s best pilots. Every year except one since 2003, Budapest has hosted the race, but now it seems that for 2019, the Red Bull Air Race will skip the Hungarian capital.

Outcry in Uganda over compulsory HIV test 19-year­old Methia Nalukwago, a student at Makerere University in the capital Kampala, is excited by the proposal to have all students undergo compulsory HIV/AIDS testing. Some students, she says, have been living in denial. "Our friends, we study with them but you look at someone and you are like, ʼare you sure you are not sick or something like that?ʼ Of course you never come out to tell them but you feel it deep down inside you, this person must be sick because of the symptoms that show," Nalukwago told DW. "Compulsory testing for HIV will help us know our HIV status and where we stand." Studies conducted by the Ugandan AIDS Commission show lack of sufficient information among the youth is contributing to an increase of HIV. Jane Were, the head teacher of Forest Hill College in Mukono district located 21 kilometers (13 miles) east of Kampala, said they are grappling with HIV in schools. She said the situation has been made worse by parents who mislead their children on what they are actually suffering from. "We have situations where parents lie to students about these [anti-retroviral] drugs. There are parents who tell children they have other ailments other than HIV," Were said.
