OPENING LETTER
Welcome to Absolute Pitch (The Official Cast Recording)! You are in for quite a show filled with all your favourite musical tracks, brought to you by our incredibly talented Cast and Band.
My name is Eileen, and I am honoured to be this year’s President and Co-Choreographer of Absolute Pitch. Three years ago, I became a choreographer for the club and have since been catapulted through a year of “Virtual Show Choir”, a bounce-back year, and finally, have had the privilege of putting together our first off-campus show in 4 years. It has been a long road, with many ups and downs, but I couldn’t be prouder of the entire team for what we have accomplished.
To the audience, I thank you for your support. Without your love for the wonderful people gracing the stage tonight, this show would not be possible.
To the Band, know that you have my deepest admiration and respect. Your determination and drive is commendable, and I am so thankful for all the work you have put in to make this show successful. Without you, we would not be performing today.
To the Cast, you should all be so incredibly proud of yourselves. The growth I have witnessed in all of you is admirable. I hope you are able to look at where this show started and where we are today and see how far you have all come. Thank you for making my final year one to remember.
To the Executive team, thank you for your hard work. You each played an integral role this year, and we wouldn’t have made it to this point without you.
Finally, to my Production team, the words ‘thank you’ do not hold the right weight needed to convey how I feel. I was lucky enough to start this three year journey with you all and now I have the privilege of ending it with you. Your talent, wisdom, and
Thank you again for coming, please enjoy the show!
ABOUT US
Established in 2011, McMaster University’s top show choir, Absolute Pitch, blends a variety of musical styles ranging from pop, to musical theatre, to R&B. Through fun and productive rehearsals, members work together weekly to learn choreography, music, and song to bring a wonderful show to life. With many performances throughout the year, you will definitely make lasting memories with us! All of the group’s hard work culminates in a year end showcase for all of our friends, family and the general public.
Through many musical stylings, our greatest inspirations dawn from stories similar to ours. To all the aspiring artists and shower singers out there, a little perseverance and creativity goes a long way. We aspire to one day bring the glamour and showbiz that is shown on Glee and Pitch Perfect to our reality!
Each year, we bring forth a Final Showcase to show what our incredible cast and production team has worked on throughout the duration of the year. Each year, we tackle a new theme. From the ’80s, Broadway, Disney, and Legendary Pop Icons, there’s nothing Absolute Pitch cannot do!
