Paul is a recognized professional in outdoor learning, Paul has over 40 years' experience in the outdoor industry, is a highly qualified, multidisciplined outdoor leader and Wilderness First Responder. Paul has led dozens of expeditions worldwide and acts as a consultant to a number of government departments. Paul is a PPE & rope inspector and is approved as an inspector of activity providers in Fujairah. Paul has set up adventure companies in UK, Syria, Bulgaria, Oman and UAE and is the cofounder of UAE registered charity Gulf for Good.
Dirk is a recognized professional in outdoor learning and is an accredited practitioner of the IOL. Dirk has now worked extensively in the outdoor industry for more than 10 years including managing centres and working with various client types including; Individuals, Schools, Young Offenders, Corporate, Rehab and Special Educational Needs Groups. Dirk's focus is now on Education and Safety management as an Inspector for Fujairah's Adventurous Activity Provider Standards. He is responsible for developing activity programmes for our groups and developing and maintaining our Safety Management Framework. Our short cruises use double decked open dhows while our longer cruises use a dhow with air-conditioned cabins. All dhows are fitted with swim platforms, bathrooms and kitchens. They carry an array of sports gear and a safety boat. Students may spend the entire time on board the dhow and in the surrounding waters or opt to combine the cruise with remote trekking, DWS or scuba diving. We have itineraries developed from a half day activity for schools staying at our Dibba Plantation Camp to a 4-night 5-day expedition to the remote fjords in the north where dolphin spotting is assured. As a licensed operator in Oman for the past 16 years we have created most of the adventure options available north of Dibba. These include numerous coastal treks, deep water soloing routes, bolted climbs, tryolean traverse, downhill mountain bike trails and sea kayaking expedition routes. We have permission from tribal leaders to visit remote mountain villages and beaches.
