Sus relojes son producto de un savoirfaire que combina la tecnología más avanzada con el arte tradicional de la relojería. Estos relojes son la prueba patente de que la tradición tiene un futuro brillante en la Manufactura. DEFY Inventor, tecnología disruptiva Prueba de la fascinación que sienten desde Zenith por la tecnología nace el nuevo Defy Inventor, una pieza dotada de un nuevo sistema de regulación disruptiva, el “Oscilador Zenith”, revolucionando así la relojería mecánica. Alta frecuencia, precisión cronométrica, ﬁabilidad y estabilidad, el oscilador desarrollado y patentado por la Manufactura reemplaza al tradicional conjunto volante-espiral, un sistema que lleva en vigor desde hace más de tres siglos. Formado por una sola pieza -frente a las treinta de un órgano regulador estándar- el

nuevo sistema desarrollado por Zenith supone un punto y aparte en la historia de la relojería. Ventajas de uso del Oscilador Zenith Al ritmo de una frecuencia de 18 Hz -frente a los 4Hz habituales-, el nuevo Oscilador Zenith incrementa la fiabilidad, puesto que este elemento ultra fino (0,5 mm) sustituye a la treintena de componentes de un órgano regulador estándar y elimina así contactos, fricciones, desgaste y deformación. Por otra parte, incrementa la estabilidad, ya que ha sido realizado en silicio monocristalino, por lo que es insensible a las variaciones de temperatura y a los campos magnéticos. Además, su rueda de escape está constituida por láminas flexibles, algo nunca visto en el ámbito relojero. Hablamos pues de cualidades excepcionales triplemente certificadas –insensibilidad magnética (ISO-764), térmica (ISO-3159) y precisión cronométrica (TIMELAB – Fundación del Laboratorio de Relojería y Microtécnica de Ginebra) todo ello en unos formidables 44mm de diámetro.

DEFY Inventor, disruptive technology From the fascination that Zenith feels for technology comes the new Defy Inventor, a piece equipped with a new disruptive regulation system, the «Zenith Oscillator”, thus revolutionising mechanical watchmaking. High frequency, chronometric precision, reliability and stability, the oscillator developed and patented by Zenith replaces the traditional sprung balance, a system that has been in place for more than three centuries. Comprised of a single piece (compared to the 30 or so components of a standard regulating organ), the new system developed by the company marks a before and after in the history of watchmaking. Advantages of using the Zenith Oscillator Beating at a frequency of 18 Hz (compared to the usual 4 Hz), the new Zenith Oscillator increases reliability, given that this ultra-thin element (0.5 mm) replaces the approximately 30 components of a standard regulating organ and thus eliminates contact, friction, wear and deformation. Y es que la columna vertebral de la colección responde a los conocidos como relojes instrumento, es decir, piezas que podríamos catalogar como relojes de especialista. En este caso, hablamos de dos relojes con un profuso perﬁl submersible. Spezialist SeaQ, el primero de la colección Nos remontamos al año 1969, año en el que la manufactura diseñó y lanzó al mercado el Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, un reloj submersible pensado para los buceadores deportivos. Con esta pieza como referencia, el SeaQ actual presenta una caja limitada y regular, y toma el acero como material de construcción combinando los acabados pulido y cepillado en un total de 39,5 mm de diámetro. Spezialist SeaQ, the first in the collection We start by going back to 1969, the year in which the watchmaker designed and released the Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, a submersible watch designed for sports divers. With that piece as a reference, the SeaQ features a limited and standard case and uses steel as its construction material combining polished and satin-brushed finishes in a total diameter of 39.5 mm. It is fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel made out of ceramic, and the dial (displaying hours, minutes, central seconds and date window) is galvanised in black with a sunburst finish. At the heart of the watch is Calibre 39-11, a self-winding movement beating at a frequency of 28,888 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 40 hours. Es ahí donde se fragua el hechizo, la hipnosis, el cautivo. «El hispano de Montreal » Ni siquiera el poeta, novelista y cantautor canadiense, Leonard Cohen, pudo escapar del cautivador poder de la guitarra española. La primera vez que Leonard Cohen acarició la sugerente silueta de una guitarra española tenía quince años. Fue en un parque junto a la casa de su madre cuando observó a un guitarrista gitano deslizar con suavidad sus dedos sobre el cuerpo de la guitarra. Apodado «el hispano de Montreal», Leonard se sentó junto al grupo de chicas para escucharlo. Luego, en un francés chapurreado, le pidió que le diera lecciones de guitarra: después de dos o tres sesiones aprendió una escala de acordes. Hasta que un día, el «hispano de Montreal» no se presentó a la cita. El alumno telefoneó a la pensión en la que se alojaba el maestro: le dijeron que se había suicidado. Leonard Cohen contó esta historia por primera vez en el año 2011, al recibir el Príncipe de Asturias de las Letras. Leonard Cohen was 15 years old the first time he stroked the suggestive silhouette of a Spanish guitar. It was at a park near his mom’s house where he saw a Gypsy guitar player gently gliding his fingers over the body of the guitar. Nicknamed the Spaniard of Montreal, Leonard sat next to the group of girls to listen to him. Later, in his broken French, he asked the guitarist to give him lessons: after two or three sessions, he had learned a six-chord scale. Until one day, the Spaniard of Montreal didn’t show up for the lesson. Cohen phoned the boarding house where the Gypsy was staying, only to find out that his teacher had committed suicide. Leonard Cohen told this story for the first time in 2011 when he received the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature. Sophisticatedly aggressive Azimut S8 IS represents impetus, modernity and sportiness in their most sophisticated sense. She features an exclusive combination of Carbon Tech and a Triple installation Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system, making her a sporty yacht equipped with the latest technology. e extensive use of carbon (on the flybridge and platform) and the triple installation propulsion system (optimised with a significant use of resources and effort by the Azimut Yachts Innovation Lab) means that S8 stands out primary for her manoeuvrability, silence and considerably reduced fuel consumption. Her design With her smaller engine room, the layout of the S8 is unique: the night area not only accommodates four en-suite cabins, there is also a large garage with room for two water toys (a popular feature on the market) and a closed galley on an intermediate deck between the main deck and the lower deck. e result is that the main deck can be used entirely for indoor and outdoor lounge and dining areas.
