YOF Grant YOF Grant
from July Newsletter
Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an endowed fund available for clubs to help assist with carrying out service projects. The fund grants anywhere between $250-2,000, but can only be received once per year. Clubs must also be in good standing before you can qualify to receive a grant, meaning that the yearly dues have been paid.
Applications are done in two cycles; the deadlines are October 15th and March 1st. You must also determine prior to applying what your budget might be for your project. This can be decided by discussing what resources and money your club might already have, and how much money you still need to carry it out. After finalizing everything, clubs must create an account on Foundant, which is where you'll officially apply.

To figure out a service project to hold, clubs should conduct a community needs assessment in order to find out what project would be the most impactful. This can be done by finding any issues or challenges that your community might face currently, and how your club can solve that issue through service.
