Avocados are a great way to get some vitamin E and C within your diet, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re also a great addition to your breakfast aesthetic! Getting a good dose of vitamin E is a great way to prevent UV damage from the sun, and with a combination of Vitamin C, wrinkles and signs of aging can be reduced through its collagen-producing effects.

Dark chocolate is a tasty treat that you don’t have to feel guilty about. This higher dosage of cocoa has been proven to help prevent skin damage, boost collagen production and cell health, and reduce dark spots and pigmentation. It also helps to lock in moisture, so if you’ve been trying to get that glowy look, let yourself indulge with some dark chocolate.

We asked Dr. Holly Gunn what foods are most beneficial for you to have your best skin.

Manduka PRO Yoga & Pilates Mat from $130 Dense cushion, slip resentiant and grippy. Very durable and great for frequent and long-term use. Jade Level 1 Yoga Mat $50 The Level One mat is great for the new yogi: great grip and cushion to help you focus on the poses without worrying about slipping. SugaMat-Recycled Wetsuit Mat $90 A premium 5mm yoga mat for your asana practice and suitable.

Some products everyone should use:

2. Styling spray. I prefer Free Styler because it’s workable and doesn’t have much shine which is good for both male and female users.

GREEN TEA

Lived-in color is more popular than ever.

Fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel have been known to do wonders for our skin. They’re a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids which help to keep our skin supple and radiantly moisturized. Omega-3 fatty acids are also great in reducing cardiovascular issues, so there’s more than just one reason to eat these fish! Interestingly, honey is also a natural humectant which keeps skin moisturized but not oily, so next time you’re craving a wholesome home-cooked meal with fish, try a honey-glazed salmon recipe for an extra boost for your skin

Berries in general are a great source of antioxidants that help reduce signs of aging and give a flexible, bouncy, rejuvenated look and feel to our skin.

High in catechins, which are antioxidants by nature, drinking green tea has anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties which help reduce changes within our skin. Issues with acne can be draining on our self-confidence, but green tea has shown to reduce oily skin which often leads to bad breakouts. If you’re also struggling to maintain a healthy shine within your hair, green tea has additional benefits in promoting the growth and regeneration of hair follicles!

Walnuts are a great way to get your daily dose of vitamin B, which helps your skin in the fight against sun damage, dirt, pollution, and a whole host of other everyday impurities, while also helping to tighten and uplift your skin. However, they can be slightly bitter, so sprinkling a few toasted walnuts on top of a summer salad or fruity yogurt can be a great and tasty way to get your daily intake. Raw coconut is also great for minimizing pesky pores and applying coconut oil face masks is a more direct way to reduce inflammation and give off that radiant glowy feel.

We tend to want to add brightness and cut out dimension when it’s warmer. Before going darker for winter, doing a more transitional look through Fallis the way to go. In Maggie’s casewe added a low light and shadow root for more depth to counteract the all over ashy hightlights she had in the early summer! Going with more golden tones added a glow and went beautifully with her skin tone.

3. Good shampoo and conditioner. Drug store products are often packed full of harmful chemicals and often leave the user reliant on the product. If you chose one from the drug store, Redken is the best.

BERRIES

My vision for Maggie’s hair was to enhance what she already had: create depth and golden tones while eliminating the stripey look that regular highlights create.

Blueberries are particularly high in these antioxidants, nutrients, and fiber, and have been proven to help support your skin against acne, psoriasis, and eczema! Strawberries are also a popular and tasty treat that contain alpha-hydroxy acids, which help to eliminate dead cells as well as tone and clean your skin.

ADVENTURES IN

plan - what and how you’ll eat/exercise and when - is crucial. Ensuring that your plan is winnable is imperative. That victorious hormone spike of winning is the secret ingredient to your best bod.

There are so many ways to seek physical fitness. The quest for health, strength, endurance, and aesthetics can take us down a million different paths. Ultimately it becomes about finding what works best for us in our own lives. What sparks us to want to move? What makes us keep show ing up? The answer won’t be the same for any two people, which is why it’s so important that we get really honest with ourselves and the commitments we make. How can we honor the inten tions we set in a positive, effective way? I believe the answer lies in how mindful we are. Here are five categories where we need to be intentional.

#1. FREQUENCY OF WORKOUTS

Studiesgood.have

One common pitfall is getting bored or stagnant with an exercise routine. Something that was fresh and exciting at first might start to feel boring over time. Some activities, such as outdoor running, are more seasonal in nature. So, it’s important to allow yourself to be open to new modalities. Observe when exercise starts to feel like a chore and take that as a sign that it’s time to shake things up!

How many hours can you commit to showing up for each week? We need to be sure that we are dividing up the time spent moving our bodies thoughtfully. Each workout cannot be 100% max effort. How many of those hours can you dedicate to high intensity, and how many can you dedicate to pleasurable, deliberate movement?

#4. VARIETY OF ROUTINE

WINNING YOUR DIET DIETING

Ultimately, we need a reason to hit the gym or modify what foods we are consuming. One easy question to ask yourself is this: am I doing this to look good or to feel good? Here’s the thing: once you are engaging in health and wellness practices because they feel good, the way you see yourself should shift towards the positive, too. A half hour on the treadmill isn’t going to change your eye color or dress size…but it will give you a rush of endorphins. Don’t waste that rush!

#2. ENERGY INPUT VS. OUTPUT

Mind & Body

Havingpoint.aspecific

Claiming a Fit and Healthy Routine

#3. WHAT GOALS ARE DRIVING YOU?

#5. SELF-TALK

There is a reason the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL are among the top five grossing sports leagues in the world that employ some of the most talented and highest paid athletes; a reason sports betting generated over 4 billion dollars and similarly casinos raked in a stag gering 53 billion dollars nationally in 2021. Heading into football season, I’ve been con templating the innate human obsession with competing and winning - defeating an op ponent and claiming victory, and I’ve come to a highly complex conclusion: It just feels so

by: Whitney Renfroe

Consider mindful movement as it relates with mindful eating. The way we’re able to move our bodies is a result of how we fuel our bodies. It can be easy to get swept up in all the diet crazes that are fed to us left and right. But ultimately the goal should be intuitive eating that serves our bodies’ energy needs. If we can adopt a mindset of eating for energy, we are then in a healthy position to go put that energy to good use!

by: Megan Underwood (self described Diet Addict)

shown that winning produces an actual physiological shift that creates a posi tive-feedback loop referred to as the “winner effect” - essentially a spike in risk-seeking euphoria, where victory leads to victory on the wings of the hormone testosterone. The same good-feeling, victory-driven, competi tion-advantageous euphoria that drives the winningest athletes and highest-earning in vestment brokers is the one that drives the lion king of the jungle, and the one that drives you and me.

Listen to the way you speak to yourself. Are you being kind? Imagine a child you love, or a person you care for deeply. Would you yell at them for eating a piece of cake or skipping a yoga class? Probably not. So why would you do that yourself? Give yourself grace. Give yourself love. This is where health and beauty come from.

HONORING OUR INTENTIONS

Winning is the key to successfully achieving every body goal. It’s why adopting and ad hering to a nutrition and exercise plan *that is winnable* proves to be the path to success every time, without fail. You know the adage “fail to prepare, prepare to fail.” It’s no secret that “proper prior preparation prevents poor performance.” Turns out without that endzone touchdown dance at the end of each day, all your planning and preparation won’t even get you into the red zone.

Give yourself very winnable boundaries. Live each day by itself. Every day should be a win, that leads to the next day’s easy win… you get my

An abundance of demand coupled with a lack of supply is driving this real estate market. Consider this, millennials are the largest generation since baby boomers. Millenials are in the market shopping for homes (demand) while many baby boomers opt to age in place (supply).

> The Good News While our government targets the fed rate to slow inflation, homes in Birmingham continue to sell well over asking with multiple offers.

> In December 2019 they predicted, “next year will be hard on the housing market, especially in these big cities.” Meanwhile, homes appreciated 11%.

If you have questions about the real estate market, give me a call today at 205.612.9432 or email me at ccrosby@raypoynor.com. Find me on Instagram @cc_realtor.

What is one of the hottest topics in today’s financial market? Inflation. What is one of the safest hedges against inflation? Real estate. It appreciates over time while many other investments like the stock market fluctuate.

> Every year since 2015 the media has predicted a housing bubble, yet home values continue to rise. In October 2015 when they claimed we were in a housing bubble larger than 2006, home values appreciated 5.1%.

Without a crystal ball, who can predict what is going to happen next? The fact remains that housing is a solid investment for your long-term wealth. And while circumstances may vary, buying a $350,000 home today could increase your cash position towards your next home in seven years by $131,159. With information like this ... what are you waiting for?

Christen Crosby at Ray & Poynor explains how negative news in the media can be misleading, while the positive market predictors seem to get less headlines.

> And in July 2021 the media claimed the “housing boom is over, as new home sales fall”. But home values appreciated 20% that year.

We asked some local fitness experts to tell us how they stay in shape.

Weekly Exercise Routine: Honestly, instruct ing is where I get most of my movement in. I typically instruct about 6 Rides a week. My goal is to do 2 strength workouts on top of that, but…let’s be honest…that doesn’t happen nearly as often as I’d like! I also love a good dance party!

Mind & Body

Weekly Eating Routine: I don’t have a weekly regime, as I try to listen to my body and nourish it with what I feel it needs. Getting my greens in can be tough, so most days, I make a kale- or spinach-filled smoothie with breakfast. I instruct most evenings, so most dinners are thrown together.

ABOUT 16 TOWN

Fitness Goals: Maintaining a level of fitness that will support my lifelong health.

Tiffany Martin 35 Owner and CEO of Ignite Cycle

Biggest Mistake People Make: I see people get burned out when they set unrealistic or superficial goals. Going from not working out at all to 4 cardio and 3 strength training days a week? Good luck! Want to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year? Cool…but what will you do after that? On the flip side, I see people have the most success when they (1) start slow and find a way to move your body that you love and look forward to, and (2) set goals that are less about short term aesthetics and more about long term wellness. For me personally, I created Ignite because of exactly those things - I love and look forward to riding and instructing, and the movement supports my long term goals. I believe there’s something out there for everyone that fits.

WHAT DOES YOUR HEALTHY ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?

Biggest Obstacle to Staying Fit: Time! Given the choice between sleep and going to the gym, I’m gonna choose sleep. Movie with the kids or exercise? You can find me on the couch. Part of the reason I became an instruc tor 10 years ago was because I would pull out every excuse in the book to avoid going to the gym…even though I knew I would feel incredible afterwards. I hope you know, no matter your struggles to get moving, you’re not alone!

Weekly Eating Routine: I eat a lot of protein! I do not count calories or follow a certain diet. I believe moderation is key but I do have a bad sweet tooth!

Emily Burwell 46 Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer

Fitness Goals: My number one goal is to stay strong. You never know what may come your way and having a strong healthy body is priceless.

Preventing Injuries: The key for me to prevent injuries is to change up my routine and stretch! When I run too much or cycle too much without doing other activities is when injuries start to occur. Not doing the same workout everyday is so important. Also take rest days! Your body needs it. When you do have to deal with an injury always ask your physician what is safe to do and not to do. Find other workouts that won’t hinder your recovery. Use this as an opportunity to try something new....who knows you may find a new love for swimming or yoga! Also try to keep a good attitude. Nobody likes to be injured but a positive outlook goes a long way!   Going too hard and too fast is most peoples mistake in not achieving their fitness goals. They want results immediately and results take time so most people quit or get injured. Fitness is a lifestyle not something you do for a month then go back to your old ways. People need to realize if they want to meet their goals then they have to do some lifestyle changes.

Biggest Obstacle to Staying Fit: My biggest obstacle is watch ing my sugar intake (because of my love for sweets!) and challenging my body as I am getting older. My 40-year-old body needs a different workout approach than my 20-year-old body did.

Weekly Exercise Routine: 3 cycle classes a week, 3-4 HIIT or weight training classes. When I am not instructing, I love to go for a run outside! I also walk my dog daily.

ABOUT 18 TOWN

2022

Biggest Mistake People Make: In my opinion social media has done all of us a total injustice in trying to obtain the “perfect image”... What I tell most people who ask me how I stay so active and fit is that working out should NEVER be torture. If you don’t enjoy whatever type of exercise it is you are trying to force yourself to do, DON’T do it. Try something else, anything. If you hate running, do not force yourself to run instead try swimming, cycling, yoga, (anything).... Once people view working out as a “chore’’ on their list that they dread, it becomes infinitely harder to stay motivated and stick with it. Do what you love, and what makes you happy, there is something for everyone.

Brooke Gardner 35 Real Estate Agent

Weekly Exercise Routine: It’s very hard for me to just sit still, so I love doing anything that keeps me moving! I like to mix up my routine as much as possible because I think it is the best way to effectively challenge your body and increase your overall fitness. I am a runner, so I love doing that for cardio. I also love Spin class. I love HIIT workouts, as well as incorporating functional weight training.

Mind & Body

Weekly Eating Routine: I don’t believe in diets, or eating plans. I think that they fail to deliver on almost every front (nutrition, weight loss/control, etc.) I am a foodie, so I do eat “clean” but if I want something I don’t deny myself. Balance and moderation is key.

Biggest Obstacle to Staying Fit: For me, I honestly grew up “working out” everyday (except for Sundays, and even then I was extremely active). I grew up as an elite gymnast and we trained ALL. THE. TIME. I think my main challenge now is not overdoing it. I am extremely competitive and tend to be a little on the intense side, so listening to my body and knowing when to stop (so that I can avoid getting injured) would be my most challenging thing at my age.

Fitness Goals: I think as an “overall goal”, in terms of my fitness, is to be able to maintain my current activity level. I want to make sure I continue to live a balanced lifestyle, and be able to stay away from injury so I can keep doing what I love!

Immerse in a restorative setting of self-care with personalized treatment for exceptional skin health. Because healthy is a feeling we should all indulge. care isn’t selfish.

When you take care of yourself, you feel better about yourself, and this positively impacts the way you interact with the world around you. You were made to thrive! Here are 3 tips to jumpstart your everyday life.

Remember, working out shouldn’t be a chore. It should be fun and something you get excited about. I tell people all the time if you don’t love to workout, you just haven’t found the workout right for you. Go studio shopping. Book a new class at a different gym once a week until you find one right for you! Check out the Wellness Passport this fall! If you’re looking to start somewhere, here are a few of my personal favorites: Pure Barre, Mpower, Steel City Pilates, and the Heights Fitness.

Have you ever noticed when you eat carbs alone, your blood sugar spikes, and two hours later, you crash and need more carbs? Yikes. Eating carbs alone causes inflammation, weight gain, unsteady mood... However, when you “clothe” carbs i.e. start your meal with fiber, fats or proteins, it helps to stabilize your blood sugar. This is especially important when it comes to what you eat for breakfast. When you start your day with protein or fat, your metabolism is boosted and supported the rest of the day. My current favorite breakfast is a nutrient packed, low sugar, high protein tropical smoothie. Check out the full recipe on my blog emilysedit.co.

Edit Your Style

Let’s be honest, we can’t all do one hour workouts every single day. On days I cannot fit an hour class into my schedule, I still try to move my body. My favorite mini workout is to jump on a mini trampoline for 10 minutes. I love it because along with all of the cardiovascular benefits, it stimulates the lymphatic system! Win, win. Don’t let a day go by without moving for at least 10 minutes. Your body and mind will thank you!

Clothe Your Carbs

I couldn’t write an article without touching on the importance of dressing for success. When you look good, you feel good. Start with cleaning out your closet and donate clothes that don’t bring you joy. Throw away those old sweatpants that you “only wear in the house,” but somehow end up wearing them to the grocery store. We are all guilty of this! Then, get creative. Mix and match your nice clothes with everyday clothes. For example, wearing a silk skirt with a comfy tee and slides. Or pair a wide leg trouser with gold necklaces and a ribbed tank. You could also layer a workout set with an open button down or blazer with platform sneakers. Find what you feel comfortable and cool in, and then put it on repeat. Next, you can start to fill in the gaps to build a wardrobe you love. I’m a big believer in splurging on quality basics and saving on patterns and prints. If you don’t know how to do this, shop in local boutiques and get someone to style you. Stay inspired by following fashion bloggers who have the style you want to have and replicate their look! It’s totally doable!

A few other tips to try are substituting vegetables for chips at a Mexican restaurant, eating salad before pizza, and eating a handful of almonds before dessert. My favorite expert on this topic is the @GlucoseGoddess. I share her content pretty consistently on my blog too!

SMILE EVALUATION

BOTOX, DERMAL FILLERS, AND PDO THREAD THERAPY

A THOROUGH TEETH CLEANING AND WHITENING

Stains are one of the highest factors in making a person insecure about their smile, but there are easy ways to clean up these wedding-day concerns. A thorough teeth cleaning not only addresses surface-level imperfections, but inner damage as well. Your mouth will feel better and look its most beautiful, letting the wedding party focus on smiling and enjoying the magical moment. The costs for this deep cleanse range from $500 to $1,500.

Koch Aesthetics offers FREE VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS.

Boosting your beauty before your wedding day doesn’t have to be stressful or break the bank. Let the professionals take care of it, so you can enjoy your big moment!

by: Dr. Paul Koch at Koch Aesthetic Dentistry

Did you know that the average cost of wedding hair and makeup is $150-600 (for a one-day application) while services like tooth whitening systems are designed to last much longer, when the person follows a maintenance protocol? Think of it as the difference between buying someone a dozen roses (that they will throw away in a week) compared to a plant that they can enjoy for years. Many women use their wedding as a reason to improve their facial features, and then get to enjoy it during their honeymoon pics (and for years to come!!). The good people at Koch Aesthetic Dentistry have helped us find three of the easiest ways to do so.

Look and feel your best with these simple tricks.

And initial consultations can done via video. Simply visit kochaesthetics.com and click FREE VIRTUAL CONSULT in the upper right corner.

Clean teeth are crucial for a stress-free wedding, but it’s not the only part of our face that captures our attention ahead of a big wedding. Our lips, eyebrows, and foreheads are also areas that can detract from the joy we experience - but can be addressed quite easily. Another major concern for many wedding participants is crow’s feet, which is also treatable with not too much stress. In addition to the aesthetic benefits Botox, Dermal Fillers, and PDO Thread Therapy also provide health benefits to the areas of focus. Costs run anywhere from $200 to $3,500 depending on the treatment you are seeking.

A smile evaluation is the best way to determine the ideal path to creating your perfect smile. Both Smile Virtual (a free service) and on-site consultations and examinations ($310) are the most efficient ways to ensure that you become aware of both the obvious and more subtle irregularities that can then be treated in a more efficient manner by the knowledgeable team ready to help you feel more confident in your looks!

2022

In its simplest terms, philanthropy is at its core the desire to promote the welfare of others, and that is not an action –it’s a mindset.

Our 2022 Runway sponsor, Paige Morrison from Dirty Hip pie had this to say about giving: “We began giving to the fashion show because we believe everyone is beautiful and all people deserve a chance to let their light shine. To this day, I cannot tell people about this event without a huge smile coming across my face. I had been struggling personally for a few years at that point, and there was what seemed to be a lot more hatred and toxic behavior in the world in general. It was difficult to find joy. I was struggling with being hopeful for our future. The light didn’t just shine that day in 2019, when we attended our first BeYOUtiful Birmingham fashion show - it flooded the entirety of The Club! We have been hon ored to have been able to support people in feeling their best and also contribute to others having the resources and services they need to help their light shine in the world we live in. Because of The Arc of Central Alabama, and especially the BeYOUtiful Birmingham fashion show, the world truly is a more beautiful

For a fundraiser, special events are a way to connect an audi ence and potential donors to an organization’s mission. Our very own BeYOUtiful BHM Fashion Show is an opportuni ty to redefine beauty so it is inclusive and to celebrate every person’s right to define it for themselves. To us, beauty is dif ference, courage, kindness, and joy. To us, beauty celebrates all people of all abilities all the time. With this vision at the forefront, donors are inspired to give.

ABOUT 34 TOWN

Donors like Paige, and their generosity, fuels the beauty in our communities. The Arc couldn’t provide enrichment, ed ucation, community integration, employment opportunities, and the basic necessities to over 900 people yearly without the people who see beauty in giving. We could all use more beauty in our lives. Find a cause you believe in and see the beauty that enfolds before you.

s an employee for The Arc of Central Alabama the past six years, my idea of giving has been transfor mative to say the least. I am part of a lucky few who sees the beautiful result of generosity daily. The act of giving can change the trajectory of someone’s life, as well as that of the donors. What is the best way to encourage giving? By con necting it to real people.

by Ashton Johnson, The Arc of Central Alabama

At the end of the day, giving is beautiful because it broadens the possibilities for change.

DAVENPORT DENTAL is conveniently located in the Lakeview district on Clairmont Avenue South. We also have on-site parking, which is a rare commodity in our neighborhood. Just look for the big tooth in our front yard!

Dr. Celia Davenport has had at least one dentist in the family since before the turn of the 20th century, but as owner of Davenport Dental & Wellness Center, she is the first female dentist in the family. Celia and her staff at Davenport Dental & Wellness Center differentiate themselves by promoting a holistic approach to dental health care, acknowledging that oral health affects the whole body.

DR. CELIA DAVENPORT

The clinic offers traditional dental care, utilizing state-ofthe-art technology to provide the best in both preventative and restorative dentistry. Near the end of 2020, Davenport expanded the clinic to include a number of aesthetic services such as facials, Botox and dermal fillers. “We will always be a dental office first, ” Davenport said. “We want to make sure that you as a whole are healthy, and the aesthetics become part of that because it can improve one’s confidence and self-esteem.”

THE DIFFERENCE THE RIGHT INSTRUCTOR MAKES

• Our teachers are high ly-vetted. All are graduates of respected Classical Pilates programs, with most clock ing over 900 hrs. of training to start (fundamentals•advanced).Withover 50 years of combined experience, we can step-in when physical therapy ends to help better ensure a full recovery.

We offer a welcoming studio environment & the trusted expertise to impart the total benefits of Pilates for all bodies, especially those in need of injury recovery. Most often our clients come to us from doctor referrals, as we are experienced in easing common aches from sciatica, herniated discs, frozen shoulder, IT band syndrome, hip bursitis, sprained ankles, plantar fasciitis and more.

MAKING EVERYONE MOVE MORE FREELY WITHOUT PAIN

AERO JOE PILATES

• The majority of what we teach are private training sessions: personals, duets, and trios.

• Additionally, we offer semi-private workout experiences (7 students max). Our group classes are designed to be uniquely mindful &, motivating, pro viding students with just the right amount of challenge.

Pilates is the movement modality we use to impart a better overall under standing of healthy body mechanics. Freedom in movement translates to more ease in mind & body. We’re very motivated to help our clients feel better, stronger & more confident!

Of all the kinds of exercise, Pilates is the most dependent on the relationship.instructor/client

Four Wines We Love Right Now

2020 DOMAINE RIFFAULT SANCERRE

At The Pig we promise one of three things:

“Brevity is the soul of wit.” This is an excellent wine. It is a fresh, friendly, elegant red wine for $24.99 that has no business being this good for this low of a price.

PROMOTION

One of our favorite things at The Pig is the Questions we get. Most every day we have a customer ask us for some bottle of wine they enjoyed somewhere. This is our attempt to, as the 1996 movie Jerry Maguire would say, “Help me help you!”

By: Scott Atkinson , Wine Manager at PIGGLY WIGGLY IN CRESTLINE

- Second, if we don’t have it we will order it and get it to you as quickly as possible.

2021 COS FRAPPATO

So, Baby Don’t Cry, we got you. We want you to have the wine you seek the next time you are hanging out with that Beautiful Girl, or boy. So don’t throw a coin into a Wishing Well and hope. Let us help! Just email scott@thepigbham.com when you are Back on Line and we will help you track down that bottle. Whether it be a run of the mill California Cabernet, an obscure Txakolina from Basque country, or an underappreciated Sicilian Red, we are here to help with whatever Strange Desire you have in the world of wine. At The Pig we want to help all Men and Women find the wine they seek.

2019 AUCTIONEER CABERNET

2020 CHALK HILL CHARDONNAY, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY

- First, we have the wine here and ready to go.

This is a “old school” Napa Cabernet crafted in honor of Michael Broad bent, the auctioneer. He was a Master of Wine and an incredible talent. This wine is refined, elegant, and beautifully balanced – in essence, the style of wine that made Napa Valley famous.

The best thing you can do to help find a bottle you’ve enjoyed is to take a picture. The absolute best, Heaven Sent, thing you can do is take a picture of the front and the back of the bottle. The back label sometimes contains the best information! Our most efficient form of Communication is email. Take those two pictures and email them to scott@thepigbham.com and we will help you figure it out. We know it was good, we don’t have to Taste It We know you wouldn’t go to the effort of tracking it down if you didn’t love it. And the email is great because there is often Not Enough Time to pop down to The Pig and show us your phone. All Around, email is our favorite way to help you find the wine you seek.

Welcome to Wherever You Are!

Global demand for Sancerre has been going through the roof while production levels have plummeted. The 2020 harvest was good, but demand is rapidly outstripping supply. The 2021 vintage was dire, with production only around 30% of a normal year. Maybe our favorite Sancerre under $30, it is $29.99. Get this one while you can!

We know, we know, yet ANOTHER California Chardonnay. But this one, for $19.99, has everything you are looking for in a great balance. It has the fruit, butter & cream, oak, minerality, and acidity you seek in a Chardonnay from California, but none of the components overwhelms the other.

- Third, if we can’t do the first two we will explain why the wine is unavailable.

-MICHAEL BROADBENT

GOOD TASTEGOOD TASTE

“Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures.”
