A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
from Summer 2023
by Our Herald
Welcome to the Summer issue This issue is dedicated to kingdom workers Those who help answer the prayer of "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10) Our lives can be wrapped around anything, in fact, they will be wrapped around something, and you have chosen to wrap yours around Jesus, the One who gave His life for you It seems the simplest decision of all, and yet so many choose another way They choose homes, bank accounts, careers, sports, success, or causes- people are very busy finding something to be absorbed with, and yet Jesus tells us we must lose our life to find it What does that look like for someone who has followed Jesus for as long as you have? You have dedicated yourself over and over to His Word and His will, and yet there is more to lose
As kingdom workers, we make the invisible visible through words and actions, praying that the work the Lord does through us gives others eyes to see and makes their path easier to walk

Noah was a kingdom worker The Lord said, "Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation" (Genesis 7:1). God didn't compare him to the last generation or the one that was to come, but He called him righteous in his generation There is work for those of us that are in our generation God knows the obstacles that our generation comes against and He knows what it takes to be righteous
God trusted Noah to build the boat that would save humanity. There are people who are depending on the choices you are making right now Will you build an ark of faithfulness? Will you build an ark of good works? Out of all the people on the face of the earth, God has chosen you to do what He has called you to do
If you are wondering what this looks like, my suggestion is to look at what you have to lose. "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and
I am available to minister and may be reached at 501 269 1144 whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it"
Matthew 16:25
When a patient goes to the doctor, no matter how much it is needed, there is usually a dread at the procedure
Going to the doctor can be undignified. I will spare you the details, but I'm sure you have been there Tests, procedures, exams, the whole thing is a humbling experience Sometimes "losing our life" seems to look like this. Struggling with pride? The medicine looks like humiliation Is depression wearing you down? How about another dose of defeat to overcome? This seems backward, and yet, we signed up to work in a backward, upside-down, kingdom Noah was the most righteous in all the earth and God called him to face ridicule and to build something nobody else believed in If you feel like you're swimming upstream, then you might be at the doctor's office. Just wait, though, the Great Physician has something special for you and it's just ahead, Noah That rain cloud is on the horizon and you will be glad you built the boat. Keep going. The only way out is through.
In everything, always, more Jesus,
