16. Energy retail fees:
ABmunis operates an energy retail program providing electricity and natural gas. ABmunis engages a third party administrator to manage the distribution of the commodities and customer billing activity. Transactions under this program during the year were as follows:
17. MuniSERP administration fee:
ABmunis received a flat service fee of $40,070 (2021 - $40,860) for coordinating actuarial services and holding investments as an agent on behalf of program subscribers. The MuniSERP administration fee is recorded in retirement services revenue. At December 31, 2022, ABmunis holds $6,189,808 (December 31, 2021 - $8,052,958) on behalf of program subscribers.
18. Clean energy improvement program:
ABmunis administers a Clean Energy Improvement Program ("CEIP") providing assistance for municipalities with the implementation of clean energy improvement projects. Initial development of the program is funded by a grant from Alberta Environment and Parks to ABmunis. Included in grant revenue for the year ended December 31, 2022 is $670,790 related to CEIP (2021$752,604).
