Employee Benefits
Our Employee Benefits program is committed to providing members with excellent benefits plans while maintaining stable, competitive rates and first-class support from your Alberta Municipalities team.
To improve the support we offer to Plan Administrators, we launched our new Benefits Online Platform this spring, providing members with a user-friendly and efficient online experience, Plan Administrators now have access to online self-enrolment tools, reducing the need to print, distribute, and retain enrolment and beneficiary forms. This improvement also means that employee data and invoicing information is available in a more timely and efficient manner.
The Benefits Online Platform was also used to develop our renewal packages for members in preparation for the 2023 plan year, further enhancements will be implemented in 2023.
Mental health support
The increase in mental health claims has continued to impact employee benefits claims across the industry. We continue to offer a variety of supports to meet mental health needs.
■ We offer an Employee and Family Assistance Program that provides shortterm goal-focused therapy. Under our program, there is no pre-determined number of sessions an employee can access, allowing employees to access the support they need to reach their goals.

■ The Mental Health Navigator program through Teladoc Health, emphasizes early identification, timely access to the right mental health professionals, coordination of care, and virtual delivery of services to remove barriers to access. Participating members are able to find the appropriate treatment sooner allowing them to navigate their mental health concerns. Additional services for whole person care are being investigated to provide enhanced access to chronic care, review of and prescribing of medications and expert medical services with clinicians available virtually 24/7 with a focus on chronic and crisis mental healthcare.
■ In 2022, Maintaining Mental Fitness returned for a third season. Over 3,000 people registered for this 10-week webinar series.
■ Our Employee Benefits program boasts an annual maximum for psychological services of $1,500 for many plans, allowing participants to access the support they need.
