The longest serving incumbent Prime Minister in the world, His Royal Highness has held this office since 1971. UNION CABINET MINISTER OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS, INDIA H.E. Kamal Nath’s unrivalled political acumen teamed with his diplomatic prowess has earned him global resepect as of one of India’s most esteemed leaders. During his fiveyear term as the Commerce and Industry Minister of India, he was successful in tripling India’s foreign trade, engineering a seven-fold increase in FDI in-flows to India and significant strides were made in the areas of Intellectual Property and Industrial Design.

A Deputy Prime Minister in Prime Minister of Thailand H.E. Yingluck Shinawatra's cabinet, H.E. Na-Ranong is also the country’s Minister of Finance. His business acumen is highlighted via the several high-profile positions he has held in the country’s financial sector – as Managing Director of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) for five years, and as Director of the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

H.H. is the dynamic Bahraini Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, and holds overall responsibility for Bahrain’s transport infrastructure covering policy, regulation and the development and delivery of projects to meet the Kingdom’s future transport needs. He constantly represents the Kingdom of Bahrain at global events given his global outlook and committed interest in furthering the profile of Asia on the world stage.

H.E. T.K.A. NAIR CURRENT ADVISOR TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA Mr Nair, a senior and well-known bureaucrat in the Prime Minister of India’s Office, was also Principal Secretary to former Indian Prime Ministers H.E. I.K. Gujral and H.E. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and continues to be the backbone of the Prime Minister’s Office for over seven years. His knowledge of evolving policies, structuring projects at the Central Government level to bring mega infrastructure projects to life, and the role of the government and private sector in supporting economic growth at national and international levels, is unmatched.

A graduate in Industrial Management and Technology, HE Khalil bin Abdullah Al Khonji was handpicked by the Sultan of Oman to serve as the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in 2007. His contributions towards realising the organisation’s goals have ensured that the OCCI is always abreast of latest economic developments and also acts as a catalyst in activating the Sultanate’s national economy.

As Chairman of the powerful Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce (FGCCC), his influence in the arena of commerce and industry extends throughout the powerful constituency of the GCC.

DHANIN CHEARAVANONT CHAIRMAN, C.P.POKPHAND (CP) GROUP, THAILAND Thailand's richest man by about US$ 7 billion dollars-worth of personal assets, and dubbed “Asia’s most active deal maker”, Dhanin Chearavanont has extensive experience in establishing and operating businesses in Asia, Europe and the US. He is known for his penchant for adopting new technologies, making connections and executing masterful business expansions. He symbolises the energy of Asia through his achievements in his home country and outside.

CYRUS PALLONJI MISTRY CHAIRMAN, TATA GROUP, INDIA

Chairman of Tata Sons Limited, 44-year-old Cyrus Pallonji Mistry’s career graph so far boasts phenomenal growth, and his star is only expected to rise further. Dubbed “the most important industrialist” in both India and Britain, he is at the helm of India's biggest business group, the US$ 100 billion Tata Group, with interests in industry, urban infrastructure, communication and information technology, among others.

From a policeman, to a billionaire telecommunications executive, to former Prime Minister of Thailand, H.E. Thaksin Shinawatra’s career graph is nothing short of legendary.

His revolutionary economic, healthcare, anti-drug, education and energy policies, as well as the administrative reform he brought to Thailand during his term as Prime Minster, make him one of the strongest leaders in Asia.

H.E. Vayalar Ravi, now a prominent Member of the Upper House of Indian Parliament and Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, started his political career as one of the youngest members of India’s Congress Party in the 1970s, and has been hailed a dynamic leader by his peers. He is known for his simple, down to earth approach and is a seasoned, respected political figure, who now represents the interests of India's NRIs.

Previously Minister of Sports Affairs and Chairman of the Oman Olympic Committee, and an MSc in Management holder from the University of Bristol, UK, H.E. Eng. Bin Masoud Al-Sunaidy is one of the most powerful strategists in the region and an ardent supporter of the knowledge economy in Asia. A brilliant speaker with great insight, H.E. is also member of the Supreme Council where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al-Said, Sultan of Oman, is delivered.

MUSAB AL MAHRUQI PAWAN MUNJAL MANAGING DIRECTOR & CEO, HERO MOTOCORP, INDIA Pawan Munjal is the Managing Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer. A Mechanical Engineer, Mr Munjal has been instrumental in bringing about technological and managerial excellence in the company's operations and is responsible for its huge presence in India with immense expansion plans that extend across Asia through to Africa.

CEO, OMAN OIL REFINERIES AND PETROLEUM INDUSTRIES COMPANY, SULTANATE OF OMAN Musab Al-Mahruqi is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Orpic, the newly integrated Oman Oil Refining and Petroleum Industries Company. PAILIN CHUCHOTTAWORN PRESIDENT AND CEO, PTT GROUP, THAILAND PTT’s Group’s inspirational and personable chief, Pailin Chuchottaworn has successfully reenergised a conservative corporate culture, and is thus consistently leading business out of its comfort zone in his position at the helm of Thailand’s National Oil Company. His efforts have escalated Thailand's profile in the energy sector globally. Also widely known, and respected, is Chuchottaworn's commitment to corporate governance and CSR.

KHALAF AHMAD AL HABTOOR CHAIRMAN OF THE AL HABTOOR GROUP, UAE Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor is known not only for his many business achievements but also his extensive knowledge of international political affairs; his philanthropic activity; his efforts to promote peace; and the fact that he has long acted as an unofficial ambassador for his country abroad. ABLF AWARDS 2013 We set the stage for the third edition of the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF) Awards in a world that teeters on the curved edge of great change, where the magnificent new opportunities, raw, unlimited creativity and empowerment through knowledge are hindered only by the barriers of ignorance, conflict and short-sightedness.

Through my years of working on the development of the ABLF, I have had the good fortune to meet and engage with some of best and brightest minds in the world and associate with leaders of great vision. It is through this insight and recognition that I can state, with some authority, that the only sustainable antidote to the spiral into dissonance at any level – globally, regionally or at the level of country or community – is the power of dynamic and principle-driven leadership.

As the world hurtles dizzyingly through myriad political, economic and social changes, the focus needs to centre on empowering human capital to nurture a new generation of future leaders, who need guidance, information, education and training. The role of platforms like the ABLF is to present stellar examples to this youth capital, to inspire, as well as act as a blueprint for ensuring a more enlightened Asian business ethic that can escalate and promote economic growth and development in the region.

In its relentless quest to showcase the finest facets of Asian leadership, and inspire the region, the ABLF has enjoyed the Patronage and ardent support of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan, an exemplary leader himself, and an inspiration to everyone who knows him.
