We’’ re Going Green, One Tree at a Time ...And you can join in too Order your canopy from us, and we’ll plant two trees on your behalf. Here at Able Canopies, we’re regularly striving to become a greener company that contributes to saving the planet and we are also aware that many schools will be looking to do the same. So in order to build on our ‘green goals’, we have implemented a new initiative to off-set our carbon footprint further and benefit our school customers too. Since October 2021, we have therefore started planting trees for every canopy order we receive for an educational environment. We will also plant trees for every recommendation we receive that results in the booking of a site survey, and subsequent order. Tree Appeal The organisation we have chosen to sponsor is Tree Appeal; an environmental organisation that plants trees to create wildlife habitats, combat climate change and make a greener world. They plant their trees in schools, woodlands and nature reserves across the UK and Ireland. What You’ll Receive For every order placed for a school environment that contains at least one canopy, we’ll plant two trees; one in the UK and a ‘twinned’ tree in Africa. Once your canopy has been installed, we will send you an aftersales pack which includes your canopy guarantee (if applicable), maintenance schedule and a certificate with your unique tree planting codes. The codes can be entered on the Tree Appeal website so you can find out where your tree has been planted. The certificate is particularly handy as you can keep it for your environmental records. Let’s Get Started By choosing Able Canopies as your canopy and shelter supplier, you will be making an ecoconscience choice and that will have a positive impact on our environment. Whether you are looking to cover an outdoor dining area, the entrance to your building, a playground or create an outdoor classroom, our canopies will provide the weather protection required.

Product and Service Comparison Checklist –V2 LU100926

The Able Canopies Story More than 21 years ago, Able Canopies® began with a clear vision, to provide high-quality, cost-effective canopy and shelter solutions, backed by knowledgeable advice and dependable service. That vision set us on the path to becoming “The Canopy Experts”, offering an extensive range of weather protection solutions to organisations across the UK. In our early years, much of our work focused on schools and nurseries, where we supplied wall mounted canopies to create sheltered playgrounds, outdoor classrooms and covered areas. As the business developed, so did our product range and the sectors we worked with. Today, our canopies, shelters and shade solutions can be found across education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, commercial and public-sector environments, and we work closely with architects, contractors, councils and other construction professionals throughout the UK. Innovation has played an important role in our development. We adopted advanced 3D design technology early in our journey, enabling us to create structures that combine appearance with practicality, durability and adaptability. Our dedicated Design Team continues to use this technology today, transforming everything from initial concepts and hand sketches to detailed CAD drawings into practical canopy solutions tailored to individual sites and requirements. Our product portfolio has also evolved considerably over the years. We work with materials including aluminium, steel, Glulam timber, polycarbonate and tensile fabrics, allowing us to offer solutions for everything from outdoor learning and dining areas to covered walkways, entrances, cycle parking and large commercial spaces. While our products and capabilities have grown, one of the things we are particularly proud of is the experience within our team. Staff retention has remained exceptionally strong throughout our journey, helping us retain valuable knowledge and expertise within the business. One member of our team has been with Able Canopies® for 21 years, while several others have worked with us for 15 years or more. That continuity means our customers benefit from a team with extensive experience of canopy design, manufacture, project management and installation. The Next Chapter – Joining the Palram Group In May 2025, Able Canopies® officially became part of the Palram Group, marking an exciting new chapter in our story.

Palram is an international manufacturer with extensive expertise in thermoplastic sheets, panel systems and finished products, including polycarbonate glazing solutions. Becoming part of the Group has given Able Canopies® the backing and resources of a much larger global organisation while allowing us to build on the knowledge, relationships and reputation we have developed over more than two decades. This next stage strengthens our ability to continue developing our product offering and supporting customers across the UK. It also brings us closer to the manufacture and supply of high-quality polycarbonate solutions, materials that have long played an important role within many of our canopy systems. Although Able Canopies® is now part of the Palram Group, the principles that have shaped our business remain the same. We continue to focus on quality, innovation, expertise and customer service, supporting projects from the initial enquiry and design stages through to manufacture, installation and aftercare. We are still “The Canopy Experts” – now with the strength of a global group behind us.
