Contour technology
Contour Technology or CT is a world-first process that uses state-of-the-art technology to develop equipment that is tailor-made to fit a person’s body shape. Using this technology, a range of products are able to be custom made. Specific products that are currently available include:
• Contour Technology Insert – a custom contoured postural support system that is moulded to the person’s body shape.
• Sleep System – custom moulded foam supports that mould around the persons body.
• Customised commode – a shower commode that is custom moulded to suit the person’s body shape.

The contour technology process
1. Assessment
The client is positioned in our fitting chair. A mould is made with bean bags of the clients shape. The mould is scanned by our 3D scanner.
2. Editing
The digital image capture by the 3D scanner is edited in our specialised software packages.
3. Robot Carve (Foam only)
The edited image is sent to our Kuka robot which machines the desired shape out of a foam block.
4. Finished product
The machined CT insert is covered and mounted onto a wheelchair.
3D Printing is available to use for customised accessories.
Contour technology products
CT Shell Application: Fully customised shell to provide optimal support for clients with decreased centralised tone/postural control or requiring more rigid limiting of scoliosis.
