The idea behind the design was imitating the ‘Nest of a Weaver Bird’ in a conceptual way. Just like the weaver birds nest, the design proposes a unique arangement of spaces so that the structure can benefit from the positives of the plot .
Zoning Design Considerations
Zoning is done in a way that the famil living room gets a clear view towards the lake. The rooms are arranged so as to get good wind circulation by arranging it towards the wind dircetion. The living rooms are made linear and narrow such that the space promotes cross ventilation as well as provides great view of the lake.
An open courtyard space is given to the core of the house which is open to one side. This helps in wind circulation and also lets light inside the house during the day.
The Wall Facing south have minimal opening. The southern wall is projected out so that it provides shade to the patio throughout the day. Vegetation are provided to the southern part of the plot to further shading.
Form development is done in such a way that, whole livinng room spaces is hollow and get view to the lake from the enntry itself.
Rooms are arranged in the path of the wind which inturn provide view towards the lake and also the rooms are arranged at a northern part of the plot which helps oin keeping the rooms cool during whole day.

Exterior Design:
The exterior of the house mimics the organic shape and intricate weaving patterns of weaver bird nests. The structure is characterized by a combination of curved lines and interwoven elements, creating a visually captivating façade. The use of natural materials such as wood, bamboo, and thatch further enhances the nest-like aesthetic, blending the house seamlessly into its surroundings
Open Concept Spaces:
The interior of the house reflects the weaver bird's nest design philosophy by emphasizing open, flowing spaces. The floor plan maximizes natural light and ventilation, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Large windows and skylights provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape while connecting inhabitants to nature.
Interconnected Rooms:
In the spirit of the weaver bird's interconnected nests, the house design emphasizes fluidity between rooms. The layout encourages a sense of unity and harmonious coexistence among family members, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nest-inspired alcoves and niches can be incorporated into the walls, providing cozy and intimate spaces for relaxation or study.
Sustainable Features:

The Weaver's Nest-inspired house design embraces sustainability. Incorporating eco-friendly elements such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and natural insulation materials ensures energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Additionally, incorporating indigenous plants and green spaces around the house enhances biodiversity and creates a serene living environment.
Multi-level Design:
Taking inspiration from the layered structure of weaver bird nests, the house design can incorporate multiple levels. This feature not only adds visual interest but also allows for flexible living spaces. Different levels can be utilized for various purposes, such as private bedrooms, communal areas, or even workspaces, accommodating the diverse needs of its inhabitants.
