Core business management units: • Managing Agile Organisations and People – assessed by assignment.

Modern organisations operate in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment.

Succeeding in this complex marketplace requires organisations to be able to respond quickly. This unit addresses the challenge faced by the modern manager: how organisations can plan and anticipate an uncertain future.

• Innovation and Business Performance – assessed by open book exam This unit focuses upon identifying, developing and utilising appropriate forms of measurement for informed managerial decisions and for evaluating results. It also develops a holistic view of the drivers and effects of innovation on business enterprise, and awareness of the wider contexts in which it can be applied.

• Effective Financial Management – assessed by open book exam This unit is to enable learners to understand the management of financial resources in a business. It covers the applied techniques that managers need in order to make informed financial decisions and also the critical and theoretical knowledge and skills that managers need in a financial role.

• International Business Economics and Markets – assessed by open book exam This unit develops a strong understanding of economic theory and principles in the context of everchanging and dynamic international marketplaces. When a firm decides to engage in international trade they have a number of options to choose from, students consider the relevance of each method of entry through the analysis of case histories.

Elective leadership units, all assessed by assignment, choose two: • Authentic Leadership This unit will provide theoretical, practical and technical knowledge, to develop the skills and behaviours required for authentic leadership. Authentic leadership is essential to building an organisation where individuals can achieve their full potential. The ability to be an authentic leader requires a comprehensive understanding of business ethics and values along with the skill to align these with your own personal values and behaviours.

• Leading a Safe and Healthy Workplace Environment A safe and healthy work environment is essential to the well-being and productivity of any organisation.

This unit develops the ability to create and maintain such an environment through comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements, employee well-being, psychological safety, and the effective management of diverse working models.

• Workplace Coaching and Mentoring Coaching and mentoring can help a workforce achieve their goals and reach their full potential. This unit provides an understanding of the business benefits of coaching and mentoring in the workplace. On completion, you will be able to distinguish between different types and styles of coaching and mentoring and how they can be applied to benefit the personal growth of individuals, teams and organisations.
