Dare ProtoPlay is the UK's biggest Indie games festival, taking place in Dundee's Caird Hall and City Square every year over four days in August. As well as showcasing the games produced by the student teams on Dare to be Digital, the festival also showcases many other indie games from local, national and international developers and offers a varied educational programme for the public.
This year, 16 teams from universities of USA, Belgium, Paris, India, England, Wales, Dundee and Edinburgh plus almost 30 studios will be present at Dare ProtoPlay on 4-7 August in Dundee City Centre. Together with games workshops, board games, junior judging and a historical journey of the gaming Dundee to celebrate the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, Dare ProtoPlay has everything to offer for gamers as well as those who want to find out how to become a games developer.
