Our campus is in Dundee city centre and only a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations. The limited on-street parking is for less than an hour and not suitable for Applicant Visit Day. Look for AA signage for car parking. Closest is West Bell Street car park, satnav DD1 1EX. Next closest is Bank Street carpark, satnav DD1 1RW.

That’s OK. The day is all about: • Getting answers to any questions you might have about the course you want to study.

• Speaking to lecturers and students to help you decide which course could be best for you, if you’ve applied for more than one.

• Having a thorough look round Abertay, speaking to people, and seeing if we’re a good fit for you.

Suggested basic itinerary Pick and choose what’s most important to you. Times and locations are in the following pages, or you’ll find them on the Guidebook app.

10.00 – 11.30 • Go to the degree programme talk and activities for your course. Speak with lecturers and get the inside track from students.

11.30am-2.00pm • Go on a campus tour, taken by our students, and get a feel for the place.

• Go listen to a General Talk. They’re on subjects such as Student Funding; Halls of Residence Accommodation; Coming from College; Careers/ Study Abroad.

• Walk round the Advice and Information stands – they’re on different topics. You can ask questions or pick up some information.

• Need to speak to lecturers – go to the Academic School Basecamp Room for the subject you’ve applied for.

• Check out the social side – The Student Centre building, the Gym, Sports Clubs.

Tours a nd Visit s Campus Tours | 10.00am 2.00pm Leaving every 30 mins from the Kydd Building Reception. Duration: 20-30 mins Our campus is small but perfectly formed. Get a feel for it by taking one of our guided tours.

Library Tours | 11.30am - 2.00pm Leaving every 30 mins from Kydd Building Reception starting from 11.45am. Self-guided tours and introductory sessions. Duration: 2030 mins The hub of student life at the University. It’s where our students access extra online information for their courses, use PCs and borrow laptops as well as books. There’s a one-stop-shop for all your queries (Support Enquiry Zone), space for individual, group, quiet and social study, and a café.

Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ) Part of Library tour.

Your one-stop-shop for any enquiry.

Open evenings and weekends, you can ask SEZ anything, and if they can’t help directly, they’ll put you in touch with the specialist service that can. Hear more about SEZ and see where they’re based.

Accommodation Tours | 10.00am - 2.00pm Bookable on the day on a first come first served basis, tours leaving every 30 mins from the ground floor of the

Library. The last tour will leave the library at 1.30pm. There may be an opportunity to extend accommodation tours if there is demand.

Come along to the ground floor of the library to chat with our Residence staff, see 360˚ views of our student accommodation and gather for a tour of our Halls. Tours take about 30 mins. Check with our Residences staff for availability of tours on the day. There are also talks on student accommodation, which will answer many of your questions.

Student Centre Visit Visit our Student Centre when you have a free moment. It’s the social hub of the campus and the perfect place to eat, relax and meet your new friends. Basement: for the Common Room, free access PCs, games consoles and a projector for communal gaming and film screenings. Ground floor: for the Campus shop and Aroma café. First floor: for Bar One diner, pool tables, TVs playing music channels and a place to study.

Gym Visit | 10.00am - 2.00pm Located in the Graham Building, check out the facilities, meet our gym assistants and hear more about sports clubs at Abertay. From dance to rugby, there’s something for everyone.
