As part of this highly complex project Abergeldie were engaged by the NCI Alliance to connect two existing wastewater treatment ponds and diverted the existing trunk main through a new route to enable the existing pipe bridge to be demolished prior to constructing the onramp for the new motorway. The team completed multiple motorway crossings using specialist tunnelling machines and installed a new trunk main via open trench excavation. A specialist methodology was developed to allow for live flows throughout the process.
Clinker Place Stormwater Pipeline
Abergeldie is delivering the Clinker Place Stormwater Pipleline to significantly improve the stormwater network in the area, future-proofing it for new development projects. The project involves installation of a new stormwater pipe running underground for approximately 550m from the Clinker Place development site to a new outfall in Manawa Wetland Reserve.
