means recognizing that while we all have different backgrounds, our kids thrive because we pool our resources and pull in the same direction. In my professional life I spend a lot of time looking at business models, capital allocation, and long-term growth. When I look at Aberdeen Hall through that same lens, I am continually impressed by the strength of our structure, but I also see where philanthropy is a structural necessity for us. Aberdeen Hall is a registered not-for-profit society. We have no shareholders, no owners, and no profit margins. Every dollar that comes into this school is reinvested directly back into our campus and our students. There is a common misconception that tuition covers the entire independent school experience. From a financial planning perspective, tuition is our baseline operational revenue - it covers the day-to-day essentials like salaries, utilities, and ongoing maintenance.
It keeps the school running efficiently, but

strive for more and build a better school every single day. We fundraise because philanthropy provides the strategic capital required for this momentum. Your investments over the last year allowed us to accelerate our Strategic Direction far faster than tuition alone would permit. On the pages that follow, you will see exactly how that capital was deployed across our three core priorities: Our People: Subsidizing national and provincial student leadership opportunities
Every modern facility on our campus exists because families before us chose to invest in the school’s future. Philanthropy isn’t about covering an operational shortfall; it’s about upgrading the long-term value of an Aberdeen Hall education. Thank you for your partnership and your generosity over the past year. Your investments are paying off directly in our classrooms, and I hope you enjoy seeing the tangible results of your support in this report.

What I saw so clearly through those fresh eyes is a community that genuinely shows up for one another. I have learned that at Aberdeen Hall, excellence isn’t a directive from the top - it is a shared culture. It lives in the dedication of our faculty, the energy of our students, and the sincere support of our families. As you look through the milestones within this 2025–2026 Impact Report, I want to emphasize that none of these achievements happened in isolation. Every success story in these pages is a direct result of our community coming together. Whether you volunteered your time, contributed to our advancement goals, or cheered from the sidelines, your involvement made a difference. When we all contribute in whatever way we can, we lift the entire school community. True impact is a team effort; it is the sum of our individual choices
to support and invest in our students’ futures. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the Aberdeen Hall family during my first year, and thank you for your continued partnership. Together, we aren’t just maintaining a great school - we are building a vibrant, connected community where every student can thrive. With gratitude, Wendy Comeau-Greenwood Associate Director of Development

By investing directly in our own fleet, we’ve eliminated unnecessary rental overhead and scheduling constraints. This shift ensures our administration can say “yes” to more off-campus experiences - giving our students cost-effective, reliable access to experiential learning for years to come.

Behind the Screen KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY SAFE AND CONNECTED
Not every investment in our students and employees is one you can see. Some of the most important work happens quietly, behind the scenes, keeping our campus running the way it should so that everyone inside it can focus on what matters. This year, that’s exactly where a significant piece of our attention went: the digital foundation of Aberdeen Hall.
The Philanthropic Impact Direct deployment of capital raised from our Annual Fund (AH Fund bucket).
A Network Built to Last Aberdeen Hall’s campus has always been backed by a strong network foundation, anchored by a Meraki security appliance. This year, we took that foundation further, proactively replacing our switches and access points before aging hardware could become a limitation, and bringing our entire network under one unified Meraki system. Rather than separate pieces of infrastructure
operating independently, our firewall, switches, and access points now work together as a single, centrally managed system. The result is even more consistent, dependable Wi-Fi in every corner of campus, for every student and teacher, every day. As technology evolves, we need to stay ahead of the game, so that reliable connectivity is something our community can simply count on, without ever having to think about it.
A Safer Home for Our Data Alongside the network upgrade, we moved our Google Workspace for Education from the Fundamentals tier to the full Plus version. It means stronger filtering that catches phishing and malicious emails before they ever reach an inbox, and if a threat does slip through, our IT team can now track, isolate, and remove it from every affected inbox across the school at once, rather than chasing it down one

The signature moment of the Mirror Ball Gala was the dramatic shift in energy. The room started as a sleek, black-and-silver formal dinner, but later in the evening, the venue underwent a complete transformation. The lights dipped, the decor filled with color, the music shifted to the live band “The Feels”, and dozens of lights started reflecting off the mirror balls. At the exact same time, walls dropped away to reveal a hidden Arcade & Fun Zone, instantly switching the night from a formal dinner into a high-energy after-party.

Enhancing Campus Safety and Convenience Your support directly fueled major infrastructure improvements that make every drop-off and pick-up smoother and safer for our families. The reconfigured layout features a continuous one-way loop with efficient angled parking—more than doubling the lot’s original capacity and significantly easing traffic congestion at the Junior School entrance. To make this expansion possible, a large retaining wall was constructed along the sports field, complete with a central raised concrete sidewalk and protective guardrails.
Music & Performing Arts Upgrades Amplifying Creative Expression Donations to the Annual Fund provided essential tools to enrich music and drama programs across all grade levels. Our performance spaces received a major boost with a new Bose wireless PA speaker system and microphones for the drama room.
