This is an innovative programme which provides economic benefits for the site through urban farming from a farm to table concept. Also through the providing of rental work spaces, I will be able to further aid the knowledge quarter. The concepts that will shape my programme will be based on plant culture and its relationship to humans. The encouragement of health and wellbeing will be enforced through providing leisure facilities and the agricultural farm will become a commercial element in providing local produce for restaurants and residents within the area. This in turn integrates both the community and the surroundings of food and market spaces.

USE: The site is surrounded by a series of retail shops and office facilities in a dense urban area. Towards the south of the building there is Kings Cross International, an area often flooded with the general public, adjacent to this on the east side is York Way. To the north of the building, new developments and creative schools such as Central Saint Martin’s surround the area. Directly across from my site is Pancras Square, an area surrounded by mixed use buildings such as tech, restaurants and bars. The use is compatible as it will aid the surroundings with an urban farm, research centres, and rentable workspaces to culturally integrate Kings Cross with the public. This site will be beneficial for the public as it can be used as an educational tool, offering teachings of urban farming; reflecting a new age of working environments, and hydro and aeroponics, whilst also aiding the knowledge quarter through rentable workspaces. The influence from agriculture will promote both a healthy working environment, and an interconnectedness with leisure through lounge rooms and garden spaces, offering an environment for all users of society.

A Conceptual Cabin project which is deployed on the famous Route De Gouter. Mountain climbers are able to to take refuge and temporarily stay on this autonomous cabin whilst summiting Mont Blanc. This academic project focuses primarily of displaying a space where you are able to 'eat,share,and live'

Plant Life - Flora in Chamonix Mont-Blanc From the bottom of the valleys to the highest peaks, a wide range of vegetation can be found. Deciduous trees low down, with spruce and larch a bit higher, and finally, conifers. Above 2500m only a few hardy bushes survive, but algae can be found right up to the highest
The Wildlife of Chamonix Animals and Birds Many different species of animals live in the mountains. Most of the mammals are herbivores, such as chamois, mountain hares and marmottes. Also a few foxes and lynx (very rare) can be found.

Materials will be locally sourced and fabricated prior to delivery to site via helicopter.The alpine hut will be placed onto gabions which will reduce the impact on nature. The Inner shell will be made from CLT for easy assembly on site. A frame will be constructed to support the outer shell, it will also allow include insulation properties and hydraulics to power the facade. A new lightweight ETFE glass combined with kinetic glass will be placed onto the hut. Allowing it to moniter CO2 levels. Finally the cabin is covered with a white steel facade embedded with ‘Alive Geometry’ valves which will enhance ventilation.

PROJECT: NEWH WINNING ACADEMIC PROJECT 2017 LOCATION: SHOREDITCH, LONDON, UK DESCRIPTION: A sub-complex tower situated within the heart of Shoreditch. Bionic Dragonfly is a mixeDused building accommodating for office spaces and luxury hotel living. Primarily inspired by nature and 21st century bio-technology, this ‘living tower’ offers an alternative image for off-grid living. The voids created through the building carve out its own internal spaces forming dynamic views and allowing generous public areas for recreation and social interaction, despite a high-density location.

Located within this open void you can find our two ‘Super Tree’s’ inspired by the form oFan Arum-Lilly, and reaching to a height of 18 meters. These artificial trees have a multifunctional purpose of harvesting solar and wind energy whilst capturing rainwater which can provide an off-grid living solution for the entire complex. The open-ness allows breezes to pass through the building for good cross ventilation. The natural light integrated with the greenery allows for a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere aiding the
work and social life of Shoreditch. Alongside this both public and private users can unwind and relax in the Nebula forest room; a cool misty space surrounded by subtropical plants.

BIONIC DRAGON FLY HOUSE [MIXED USE] MOTHER ADVERTISING AGENCY Mother is a creative agency with offices in London, New York and Buenos Aires.Mother is one of UK’s largest independent advertising agencies. Mother offices have open work spaces, casual dress, “self-improvement bonuses”, birthdays off and recognition and rewards for good work. They only have one meeting room, which they call the “greenhouse” as it does not have air conditioning in the building, this is because they want to avoid the typical glass box meeting room, and instead hold most of their meetings on the staircase.

The project sets out to challenge all children to make decisions and take risks through different levels of investigative and sensory interventions. Different areas within the playground offer

the children endless possibilities where they are able to construct, deconstruct, and reimagine their play spaces using natural materials while providing landscapes where children can play, socialise, and connect with the environment. Outdoor play is an important factor in child development, while encouraging a healthy childhood. The scheme encourages the children to connect with nature through different challenges, integrated across the space, boosting confidence and development in a stimulating environment.

THE VILLAGE This space allows for role play while developing the children’s social skills. Alongside the tipis there are boundaries where the children are able to interact. The tarmac hill provides an out door canvas for the children to express and enhance creativity.

BAMBOO COURTYARD
The bamboo courtyard is planted with a number of bamboo species, the area provides spaces for children to crawl and weave in and out while developing physical abilities. Developing child coordination and enhancing creativity, whilst providing a way for them to venture to different areas within the playground, allowing the development for decision making.
THE POND
Containing water plants and small wildlife, the pond, develops understanding of species found in ponds, enhancing curiosity about life found in nature.
SAND ISLAND
A sand pit for all ages, encouraging children to explore and use their imagination to create and build. A bespoke design created for maximum use, allowing children to sit around and construct. The sand island also consists of a variety of obstacles for children to take risks and challenge them to act upon their curiosity. The benches surrounding the island has been designed to maximise storage space as well as allowing it to become part of the landscape furniture.

CONSTRUCTION
A steel framed structure has been selected for speed of erection. The foundation will be helicalscrew piles to eliminate the need for trench digging and concrete. The columns, beams and cross beams will be a combination of I Sections and castellated beams for ease of construction. Horizontal services (Electrical conduits carrying the wiring and plumbing) can be easily distributed throughout the building as required.
THE FORM
The shape of the roofs are also designed to accommodate the solar Photo Voltaic panels that will be used for the houses entire energy requirements. A section of the roof is set at an incline of 35 degrees (the preferred angle for solar PV panels) and the other is a flat roof. This would allow the solar PV panels to be located in the best position to maximize the sunlight and as a result its efficiency.

The Wonderwall is made up of brick slips and allows different types of brick to be selected for planning requirements. Internal walls are dry lined and the floors are timber joists for the short spans with timber floor boards finishes selected by the owners.

Solar PV and Tesla Powerwall (off grid solution) 300mm insulated walls; Sun trap hallway for passive solar heat gain; Low energy light fittings; Double glazed windows; Electric combination boiler Solar PV with Tesla Powerwall The Powerwall can be used to store electricity generated by rooftop solar panels (also called photovoltaic or PV panels) during the day so that the electricity can be used at night. The Powerwall is a wall-mounted, 7kWh lithium-ion battery storage system that comes with a 10 year warranty. The battery has a daily cycle, meaning it’s designed to charge and discharge each day. The efficiency of the battery is 92%, so although it has a 7kWh capacity, the Powerwall’s working capacity is more like 6.4kWh

DESCRIPTION: A new innovative design approach to luxury bathing, with an integrated shower head combined with an orbital shower system for maximum water re-usability. Inspired by the lily pad this lily tub creates a peaceful and tranquil environment with control systems for the temperature and newly developed AR-VR technology to submerge you into different atmospheres.
SHOWER HEAD The shower head delivers 5-10 litres of water at a steady rate of 10 litres per minute. Not only can the shower head become a nozzle for an efficient cleaning experience, but can retract to beoome a waterfall tap for the bathtub
TRIPE FILTER Using the closed loop system the water re-purifies while recirculation 5-10 litres of clean hot water at the ideal temperature and pressure for its users. The water constantly purifies as it is being used for comfortable and long showers

COMPLETED PROJECT INSTALLATION PROJECT: COMMERCIAL PROJECT 2016 LOCATION: REGENTS STREET, LONDON W1 DESCRIPTION: Inspired by Kate Spade New York’s fall collection entitled ‘Star of Your Own Show; the installation Nebula transforms the brand’s signature polka-dot motif into an exuberant, 3-dimensional pattern. Constructed from 8000 translucent crystal spheres hovering in midair. This project was part of the RIBA Windw Street Project. The RIBA Regent Street Windows Project matches cutting edge RIBA architects with some of London’s most prestigious retailers to create stunning architectural installations in shop windows along and around London’s Regent Street, W1.
