Emilio's passionate about the principles of the Slow Food movement, so the pizza here is cooked in a conventional oven at 220 degrees for 20 minutes, rather than in the brief fierce heat of a pizza oven. "It's real pizza, like the ones made at home," he told us. It was certainly flavourful, topped with mozzarella and coppa - a tasty salted raw ham, that's somewhere between bresaola and prosciutto. If dining in a group, sharing a few starters - in true Italian style - means you can taste several dishes. Breaded chicken breast with peperonata (11,60 €) was our first main course dish. The thinly sliced chicken was accompanied by a flavourful mix of slowly-cooked tomatoes, pepper and onion. Emilio ist ein Verfechter der Slow Food-Bewegung, daher wird die Pizza in seiner Küche in einem herkömmlichen Ofen 20 Minuten bei 220 Grad gebacken, statt nur kurz in der grausamen Hitze des Pizzaofens zu rösten. "Das ist die wahre Pizza, wie bei uns zuhause," berichtete er uns. Sie war in jedem Fall schmackhaft, belegt mit Mozzarella und Coppa – lecker gesalzener roher Schinken, irgendwo zwischen Bresaola und Prosciutto. Wenn Sie als Gruppe Abend essen gehen und sich - wie in Italien üblich - einige Vorspeisen teilen, kommen Sie in den Genuß, mehrere Gerichten zu probieren. Panierte Hühnerbrust mit Peperonata (11,60 €) war unser erstes Hauptgericht. Das dünn geschnittene Hühnchen umgab ein schmackhafter Mix langsam gegarter Tomaten, Paprika und Zwiebeln.
