Year 9
Our Year 9 curriculum is designed to spark a love of learning in younger students, preparing them for the careers of tomorrow, whilst at the same time providing a solid bedrock of knowledge and skills to move on to GCSE study.
GCSE
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) courses provide a great academic grounding, offering students a wide breadth of subjects, time to familiarise themselves with the UK education system and improve their English (English Language is a compulsory GCSE subject). GCSEs also provide a natural pathway to A Levels, and students who take them tend to perform better in higher-level examinations. Our schools offer 1 year, 2 year and 18 month GCSE Programmes. DLD College London offers the chance to combine GCSEs with level 2 BTEC qualifications.
ACADEMIC
PREPARATION
Our Academic Preparation Course is designed to raise students’ ability in general, improve their subjectspecific English, and provide academic training to enable them to successfully join one of our full academic programmes. Programmes can run from 1–3 terms with entry points in September, January and April.
SIXTH FORM
A LEVEL Advanced Levels
A Levels are the most widely recognised qualification for entry into UK universities. Students study 3-4 subjects over 2 years or 18 months. A Levels are available in an array of subjects and provide a balance of subject depth and specialisation. This allows students to focus on the subjects that interest them and prepare for further studies or training at university.
IFP International Foundation Programme
An intensive year 13 programme offering progression to a wide range of universities. It is a modular programme with an overall score based on the results from three examinations taken throughout study. Unlike other programmes, our students are not limited to a select group of partner universities, they are able to progress to a wide range of UK universities, including many top-ranked Russell Group institutions.
BTEC Business and Technology Education Council Diplomas
Available at DLD College London, BTEC level 3 qualifications (Extended Diplomas and Extended Certificates) offer an alternative pathway to university and provide a practical, real-world approach to learning, alongside delivering a key theoretical background to the subject.

Applying to university can be complicated and is highly competitive. Every week students will have timetabled sessions and out-of-class study led by experienced tutors and designed to broaden their knowledge and skills in the areas they plan to study at university.

Our colleges have a proud record of medicine success and we provide specialised support programmes to ensure that our students are well-prepared in every aspect required for a successful medicine application.
UK AND OVERSEAS APPLICATION

UCAS FAIRS & UNIVERSITY VISITS
Every year we host UCAS Fairs and invite a wide range of top universities into our colleges for personal meetings with our students. We also host regular university lectures and arrange university visits offering our students privileged access to university faculties and departments.
UCAS application process and
Our university advisers provide end-to-end support, helping students explore different universities and courses. Providing guidance on the UCAS application process and support to write an effective personal statement that stands out from other applicants. Advisers also provide guidance on interview techniques and practice interview sessions.

Our bedrooms are designed to offer a quiet haven where students can relax and study. We offer a range of different room options, but all come with standard features such as Wi-Fi, study desks and ample clothes and belongings storage. Over 90% of our student bedrooms are single, en-suite rooms.
Outside of your room, we offer communal areas to meet with friends, socialise, and study. Our common rooms feature well-equipped kitchens, lounges, and games facilities.
Our live-in house parents provide 24/7 support and care, making sure that students feel safe and supported, make friends, and keep on track in their studies.
All our boarding houses are secure buildings, with controlled access, on-site security, and CCTV.

Host family accommodation is available at our Manchester and Cambridge schools.
Manchester host families are carefully selected to ensure a friendly, safe environment in which students can relax, integrate, and study.

MAKING YOUR APPLICATION
1 SUBMIT APPLICATION
Submit the application form along with the following supporting documents; copy of current passport, copy of most recent two years school report, copy of any evidence of English (IELTS or equivalent certificate).

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT
If you do not have an official proof of evidence of your English language level, our admissions team will issue an online English test.
3 ACADEMIC INTERVIEW
If your English result meets the required level for your chosen course, we will book an online or face-to-face academic interview with a senior member of the school team.

OFFER
A standard offer will be made within 2 working days of your interview. Standard offers are valid for 2 weeks.

BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION
Upon receipt of your deposit, registration fees and the required acceptance form and contact form, your place will be confirmed and you can proceed to book your school accommodation.

VISA APPLICATION
Our visa team will be in touch to start the visa process, they will help you to submit the relevant documents and support you until the final Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is released to you.
