SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2025
WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
ENRICHMENT @ ABBEY COLLEGE CAMBRIDGE
At our college, we want to extend and broaden your education by providing you with opportunities to help you develop beyond the classroom. One of these opportunities is Enrichment which takes place for 100 minutes every Wednesday afternoon for all students. You can choose from over 40 different activities. Each activity belongs to one of the six themes below.
Choose carefully. Enrichment activities are designed to be the most beneficial when you commit to your activity choices for the minimum of one term. The 100 minutes of enrichment activities you choose now will continue every Wednesday until the end of term (December 2025).
In January 2026, Enrichment continues for all students, but you will be given the opportunity to tell us if you would like to change your activity to something different.
In April 2026, Enrichment is longer be compulsory for GCSE Yr 11 or Yr 13 students, although you are still welcome. Enrichment remains compulsory for Yr 9, Yr 10, Pre-Sessional and Y12 students. Once again, you will be given the opportunity to tell us if you would like to change your activity to something different.

How Do I Choose My Activities?
You will choose your activities using an online form. The link to the form is available at the bottom of our enrichment webpage (QR code above). The form allows you to choose your 1st choice activities as well as your 2nd and 3rd choices, just in case. Remember, choose carefully because you are committing to your activities for the whole term.

Clubs and Non-Enrichment Activities
At our college, we also offer a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities in the evenings, at weekends and during holidays. All these activities add to your Abbey College experience and provide you with more opportunities to develop new skills, learn new things and improve existing skills as well as having fun with your friends.

We encourage all students, whether you are a boarder or a day student, to get involved in these activities to make long-lasting memories of your time here with us. Look out for more information from your personal tutor and from boarding staff later this term.
