George is a 27-year-old Brish arst who started his career working at town markets in the countryside of England. His passion for art and for Brazil has since led to him wading across the predatory waters of the Amazon River. Nowhere is off-limits for this oil painter passionate about adventure. George made his first trip to Brazil in 2014, when he was 19 years old. It was a trip full of surprises that made this young man and arst fall in love with our beloved homeland returning 5 more mes, traveling all over the naonal territory and having the opportunity to visit unusual and beauful places, creang memoriesand making many friends who gave him inspiraon to start creang his biggest exhibiontodate.

George tells us one of his most memorable stories,whenhearrivedforaweek'sstaywiththe Macuxi indigenous tribe. According to him, it was in the middle of the night, not just darkness made it impossible to see the mountains covered with tropicalforestsintheregion,butalsoledtoacase of mistaken identy when a friendly creature came to greet him as soon as it arrived. “I thought it was a dog,” remembers George. ‘‘But its fur was hard and different’’, then he realized that it was not a dog, but a capybara. Two cute indigenous local girls, had kindly rescued the animal from a nearby river, where it has been abandoned and becoming an easy prey for predators in the region. The Macuxi tribe liked the animal so much they decidedtokeepitpermanently.

The two sisters Yamile and Doane, and their domescated capybara Nina are now the subject of an extremely delicate and charming portrait. However, having accumulated six visits to the country in eight years, the arst has many more painngs of his me exploring natural beauty and the magnificent of Brazil. George told ABA Mag that, among his adventures, he has crossed the waters alligator-infested areas in the Amazon with his art kit on his head, but he also took advantage of his stay to relax on the golden sands of Copacabana beach. He also has visited the countryside of São Paulo, the warm city of Teresina Piauí, and the beauful beaches of Maranhão. He says the country has provided him an inexhausble source of inspiraon Even with condions of painng less hospitable than he was used to, scorching sun, mosquitoes and ants bing hisankleswhilepainng,thearstwasseducedby ourBrazil.
