St Andrews Bookshop began nearly 60 years ago when Zetty Clarke worked in a chiropodist in Great Missenden and wanted to start an outreach to the customers. Since then others have continued to write the story of St Andrews, first Lion Publishing, then Ernie & Margaret Barnett with the support of a small group of individuals.

For many years St Andrews has had the privilege of a key role in serving the church in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire through its shops, and across the nation through providing bookshops at events. It’s incredible to think that for nearly 60 years now, God has been blessing millions of people through the Bibles & books that we sell.

Our story is made up of the often untold stories of each book that has been read and each life that has been changed. We believe that Books Change Lives. If you think back through your own journey of faith, like me, I am sure you will be able to think of those books that had a big impact on your Christian journey by inspiring, challenging or encouraging you. At St Andrews we believe that the reading of Christian books is a key element in growing as a Christian, so although these are tough times for Christian Bookshops, we believe this ministry is still invaluable.
