Tiwi Islands Aboriginal Cultural Tour
After making your own way to the Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal, a five-minute drive from the CBD, take the 2½ hour cruise aboard the Tiwi Mantawi to the Tiwi Islands. Meet your local Guide to be taken on a journey through the progressive, modern day Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga. Visit the Museum with its interesting displays of traditional art and depictions of the Tiwi ‘dreamtime’ stories. Take time out for lunch. Spend time with some Tiwi ladies while they work on their paintings. Your guides and the ladies also demonstrate their totem dances and perform a smoking ceremony to bless the visitors and explain the meanings behind them. You will be taken through the Arts & Crafts Centre and will see where the artists work. You can purchase Tiwi arts and crafts at Island prices. Learn some of the complex rituals associated with the Pukamani (burial ceremony).

Litchfield National Park Waterfalls
Follow the Stuart Highway via Batchelor to Litchfield National Park to visit the main falls. First stop is Florence Falls, where you can enjoy a scenic bush and monsoon vine forest walk, or take the stairs down to the plunge pool for a refreshing swim. Continue to Tolmer Falls and take in the magnificent view of the water cascading into the deep waterhole. Finally, visit Wangi Falls with its large crystal-clear pool, another relaxing spot for a swim. (Swimming at Wangi Falls is seasonal and managed by NT Parks). No visit is complete without seeing Litchfield’s famous termite mounds. The Magnetic mounds, perfectly aligned north to south, act as natural temperature regulators. Nearby, the soaring Cathedral mounds stand over three metres tall, striking and sculptural. An included packed lunch can be enjoyed at one of the many scenic locations.

Kakadu National Park Explorer
Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway and its major river systems and wetlands to World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Located 250 kilometres east of Darwin, this national park covers 20,000 square kilometres of landscape from rocky escarpment, historic Aboriginal rock art dating thousands of years, to floodplains abundant with wildlife. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Join your local guide on a cruise of Yellow Water Billabong. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife for which this region is renowned. Enjoy lunch at Cooinda Café. Stop at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie), where your Driver Guide will lead you on a walk to view the many different forms of Aboriginal rock art at this site. There is the opportunity for a 50-minute scenic flight (own expense). This is a wonderful way to experience the vastness of the wetlands, waterfalls and towering cliffs.

Nitmiluk Gorge Cruise & Edith
Travel from Darwin, passing former WWII airstrips, en route to the town of Adelaide River. Make a short stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to those killed in the 1940s air raids. Continue to Edith Falls for a refreshing swim in a waterhole beneath the falls (seasonal). Relax with lunch at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre. Board a 2-hour scenic cruise through Nitmiluk Gorge, spotting freshwater crocodiles and birdlife. It takes you through the first gorge before a short 400m walk to another boat for the second gorge.
