PART II Curiosity

The object of curiosity is a "Monster", a motorbike produced by the Italian brand Ducati, introduced in 1992. The transformed image is the 2015 Ducati Monster 821.When under examination one questions the origin of its appearance. How was it made? Why was it made? Why was it made in that specific way?

The transformation is a figurative representation of these questions. It dissects, zooms in and out, rotates, accelerates and decelerates the functions, processes and visuals of the machine. It opposes the object with its anatomy that one does neither see nor understand. Only the super curious mind will discover what is behind the curtain.

A portfolio, in all design disciplines, showcases a similar confrontation. It mostly includes both objects or products and its more precise analysis or

documentation. It is a confrontation of the object that is forced to stand alone with whatever makes up its background. It is a portfolio vs a drawing, a collection vs an artifact, story vs idea, journey vs location, documentation vs object. The selection of ten items was driven by the same curiosity. This time the object is the city and its mundane suburbanity. This selection investigates the journey vs the item / the location. There was no direction, no destination and no guidelines. One machine and one curious mind.

Ride or die.

With this, the portfolio will make an attempt in giving weight and importance to all content of a project, may it be the single drawing or the journey that brought you there.
