CarEasy boasts an impressive track record, having served over 10,000 satisfied customers since its inception in 2018, as evidenced by the glowing CarEasy Reviews on its official website. It has forged partnerships with major brands like Flipkart, Housejoy, Magicpin Park+, DriveU, Ola, and Zoomcar, expanding its network to 130 garages. Notably, this startup achieved Rs. 65 lakh in revenue within months of its launch, showcasing its innovative business approach.

Navigating Through the Pandemic When the COVID-19 pandemic swept through India, workshops and daily wage workers bore the brunt of its impact.

Acknowledging their responsibility, CarEasy launched a new segment focused on vehicle sanitization for the B2C market through Facebook advertisements. This initiative not only garnered significant responses but also provided workshops with an alternative source of income during the pandemic.

CarEasy’s Mission In a recent update from CarEasy in early 2023, it was reported that the company embarked on a mission to address the challenges faced by workshops across India. The most pressing issue identified was delayed payment dues. In response, CarEasy swiftly acted in Bengaluru, ensuring that workshop owners received their payments within a week. This not only alleviated their financial burdens but also fostered professionalism within the workshops. CarEasy’s commitment to streamlining operations and supporting workshops was further demonstrated by a week-long training workshop conducted for workshop owners in Bengaluru.

Shashank Shekhar, Co-Founder of CarEasy, emphasized the pivotal role workshops play in the automotive aftermarket space. He stated, “Workshops are the backbone of the automotive aftermarket space, and as an emerging startup, it’s our responsibility to streamline the process for them.” This dedication to understanding workshop challenges and providing tailored solutions underscores CarEasy’s commitment to its partners.

A Dynamic Partnership Behind CarEasy CarEasy’s dynamic leadership comprises Vikram and Shashank, each bringing unique skills to the table. Vikram, an alumnus of IIT Guwahati, oversees operations, finance, B2B sales, and research & development.

Shashank, an alumnus of IIM Kashipur, handles strategy, marketing, HR, and more. Their partnership was forged through a 30-minute conversation over dinner, during which Vikram recognized Shashank as the ideal collaborator. Shashank’s decision to join CarEasy as Co-Founder early in the morning solidified their partnership. The founders refer to themselves as “well-coordinated founders.” They juggled 9-to-5 jobs during CarEasy’s early days while simultaneously building the startup from the ground up, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the business.

CarEasy expanded its outreach to Delhi, Gurugram, and Bengaluru by: Educating workshop owners and daily wage workers on vehicle sanitization protocols. Distributing PPE kits and masks for sanitization purposes. Ensuring consistent work opportunities, enabling nearly 120 individuals to sustain themselves during the second lockdown phase in Bengaluru. Furthermore, CarEasy provided free sanitization services for approximately 200 police vehicles and ambulances, ensuring the safety of frontline workers. These initiatives have garnered CarEasy admiration not only from its workforce and customers but also from the community.

Vikram summed up CarEasy’s mission by stating, “Most businesses strive for revenue or profit, but very few prioritize people. We are one of those rare businesses and intend to remain so.”
