SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS
In 2019 he decided to swim the English Channel – or the equivalent of it! – 2,376 lengths of his local swimming pool over five months. In doing so he raised thousands of pounds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Directed and edited by Simon, My Brother Matthew, showing at South Mill Arts in Bishop’s Stortford on just one date in September, showcases the obstacles Matthew encounters both in the water and in his personal life. Simon said: “We wanted to tell a story that challenges societal perceptions of disability and showcases the incredible potential within every individual, regardless of physical limitations.

“I also wanted to show the struggles Matthew has in life as a disabled man, his limitations, frustrations and his unwavering sense of humour and optimism in the face of increasing challenges in his life.”
The film is being shown at 3pm on Sunday 10th September and will be followed by a question and answer session with Matthew and Simon.
