LETTER FROM Dear Members and Friends of the AAPI Chamber, I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As we transition into the beautiful month of November, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey our chamber has undertaken thus far and share some exciting developments that lie ahead. First and foremost, I want to express my deep gratitude to our board of directors, advisory board dedicated members and sponsors for your support. Your unwavering commitment has been the cornerstone of our success, and we are truly grateful for your trust in our mission. As we approach the end of 2023, our chamber has achieved some significant milestones. We are an approved Small Business Development Center, SBDC and we have become the fiscal agent for SBA. We have also seen an expansion in our membership and sponsorship base, creating a more diverse and vibrant network of businesses. We have also witnessed our collective impact grow, with numerous success stories of members thriving and forging new connections. This exemplifies the essence of what a chamber of commerce should be - a catalyst for growth and prosperity. In November, we are excited to bring you a series of events and initiatives designed to foster collaboration and support your businesses. Here's a glimpse of what's coming your way:

1. Networking Events: We will continue to host engaging networking events where you can connect with fellow business leaders and forge valuable partnerships. Educational Workshops: Stay tuned for a lineup of workshops to begin in 2024 that will equip you with the latest insights and skills to navigate the everevolving business landscape. 3. Advocacy and Policy: Our advocacy efforts continue, focusing on the issues that matter most to our members and the AAPI business community. 4. State of the Chamber: Vision 2024 will speak about all the exciting projects coming up not only for the chamber but also for the chamber foundation. This will be the event we officially introduce our board to the community. 5. Celebrating Lunar New Year: In honor of The Year of the Dragon, we will celebrate throughout Southern Nevada with opportunities for members and sponsors to participate in. Remember, the AAPI Chamber of Commerce is here to empower and uplift your businesses. Our success is your success, and we are committed to working tirelessly to make a positive impact on your journey. As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us also be thankful for the opportunities and connections our chamber provides. WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER Nevada SBDC guides and assists Nevadans looking to start and grow businesses, with objectives to increase business starts, create and retain jobs, and increase access to capital. One-on-one advising services are free and confidential. Nevada SBDC also offers and coordinates a wide range of workshops and courses in collaboration with public and private entities.

Grand Opening
TAPS & BARRELS AAPI Chamber launched with an official celebration on August 18, 2023 at Taps & Barrel, an AAPI and UNLV alumni owned business. This exciting event marks a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering growth, collaboration, and prosperity within our vibrant business community. Additionally, a roundtable discussion with Senator Catherine Cortez Masto with AAPI business owners was hosted at the event.

NATIONAL ACE CONFERENCE AAPI Chamber attended the National ACE Conference event where they networked, collaborated, and fostered partnerships with fellow AAPI organizations and businesses from across the nation. This gathering provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and work together to further the growth and success of the AAPI business community.

MEMBER STORY We helped a member from being scammed $25,000 on an advertising package. This member was solicited and was given a proposal on a national advertising buy that would have cost the business owner $25,000. When AAPI conducted their research and investigation, it came to a conclusion that the company and the proposal was a scam. We not only assisted in getting a member approved as a vendor for the Super Bowl but we assisted for the same member to win a pitch contest through Business Connect as well. The member is personally being mentored by our CEO.

Community Involvement IMMIGRANT CAREER SUMMIT AAPI Chamber participated at The Immigrant Career Summit that aimed to provide the immigrant community with critical information and resources about higher education, business establishment, and entrepreneurship without regard to immigration status.
PHILANTHROPY LEADERS SUMMIT AAPI Chamber attended The Moonridge Foundation Philanthropy Leaders Summit, a premier funders forum on social impact, innovation, and strategic giving. AAPI Chamber connected with corporate funders, family foundations, and individual philanthropists to explore the future of giving locally and across the globe.
ASIAN NIGHT MARKET AAPI Chamber leadership attended Asian Night Market hosted by Asian Community Development Center (ACDC).
