LETTER FROM PRESIDENT Dear Members and Friends of AAPI Chamber, As we approach the end of this year, it brings me great pleasure to reflect on the incredible journey we've shared as a vibrant and dynamic community at AAPI Chamber. December marks a time of celebration, reflection, and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. This year has been a testament to our resilience, unity, and unwavering spirit. Together, we've supported one another, and continued to pave the way for the success of AAPI businesses and professionals. As we look back on the achievements and milestones of the past 5 months since we founded AAPI Chamber, I am filled with gratitude for each one of you who has contributed to our collective success. Your dedication, innovation, and determination have been the driving force behind our accomplishments.
Looking ahead to the coming year, I am excited about the prospects and possibilities that await us. We are poised to embrace new opportunities, foster deeper connections, and amplify our impact within the AANHPI community and beyond. I look forward to your attendance at our very first State of the Chamber on January 26, 2024. WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER Nevada SBDC guides and assists Nevadans looking to start and grow businesses, with objectives to increase business starts, create and retain jobs, and increase access to capital. One-on-one advising services are free and confidential. Nevada SBDC also offers and coordinates a wide range of workshops and courses in collaboration with public and private entities.

Grand Opening
ARCHWELL HEALTH AAPI Chamber attended the grand opening & ribbon cutting of ArchWell Health’s Spring Valley location at 4015 S Buffalo Dr Ste 1, Las Vegas, NV 89147. ArchWell Health, a national company providing an advanced model of valuebased care services to individuals on Medicare Advantage plans, is opening multiple locations in the Las Vegas valley. Each located center offers adults ages 60+ are access to quality, affordable, primary care.

Key to the Las Vegas Strip ESPORTS AWARDS The AAPI Chamber and Foundation joined Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom on stage at the Esports Awards on November 30th and presented the Key to the Las Vegas Strip and certificates to Esports Awards leadership team. In addition, Minjia played a round of golf with Las Vegas Raiders player Robert Spillane at the Esports Awards Open.

The AAPI Chamber hosted a delightful networking mixer with AAPI-owned small businesses and professionals at Mothership Coffee Roasters at St. Rose Pkwy in Henderson. Mothership Coffee Roasters first began in 2012 with the Sunrise Coffee family, the longest running independent coffee shop in Las Vegas. Mothership Coffee Roasters has been the darling of the community with a focus on ethical farming, farm to table pastries and passionate pursuit of roasting the best coffee. This year, the brand opened its fifth location in Southern Nevada.

Attended the Grand Opening of
VETERANS BUSINESS OUTREACH CENTER
This week, the first-ever in-state Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC) opened in Nevada, located at UNLV’s Harry Reid Research and Technology Park. Nevada is home to over 200,000 veterans and more than 23,000 veteran-owned small businesses. However, Nevada has been without a dedicated, in-state VBOC. In January, Senator Rosen urged the Small Business Administration (SBA) to establish the first-ever in-state VBOC in Nevada. The grand opening ceremony was joined by U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen, a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. SBA, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Congresswoman Susie Lee, Congresswoman Dina Titus, and Congressman Steve Horsford.

TRANSFORMATIVE PLACEMAKING: WHAT’S NEXT IN THE SOUTHWEST? In collaboration with Opportunity Village, the AAPI Chamber and Foundation hosted a free and open to the public community event about the new developments upcoming up in the southwest part of the Las Vegas valley. What is Transformative Placemaking? Transformative placemaking is an approach to urban planning and community development that focuses on creating and revitalizing spaces and aims to have a profound and lasting impact on the social, economic, and cultural aspects of a place. This event aims to inspire public, private, and community leaders to make placebased investments that generate widespread social and economic benefits.

Community Involvement AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION LAS VEGAS HEART WALK The AAPI Chamber Foundation had a team at the American Heart Association Las Vegas Heart Walk.
UNLV FALL OUTLOOK Minjia attended the UNLV Center for Business and Economic Research Fall Outlook with a theme on “What’s Ahead for Southern Nevada’s Cities and Counties”.
SOUTHERN NEVADA STRONG REGIONAL PLAN MEETING Minjia attended the Southern Nevada Strong Regional Plan meeting and made a public comment on behalf of the AAPI Chamber Foundation on the growth of the AANHPI population, demand on affordable housing, and collaboration opportunities with Regional Transportation Center (RTC)’s Southern Nevada Strong staff team on community outreach and translation assistance.
