UJJAIN MUSEUM

CONCEPT
This project will bring many children as well as many more visitors who will learn about the struggles our brave scientists faced prior to independence. The museum represents a foetus on the site. The design is fluid and with clear path ,will help visitors explore more without any confusion .
The project consists of all the site water collected at a particular area as an ecological pond through channels throughout the periphery of the proposed site.

Stomach - Cafeteria
Anus - Exit towards the Taramandal
The feet releases energy so the HVAC and panel room are provided there.
Hand receives energy so the memorial is placed in there.

The project is in an important location within the planetarium complex. Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha launched a national level architectural creation competition on the theme “Contribution of Indian Scientists in India’s Freedom Movement”. It is a national level competition not only to honor and recognize the incomparable contribution of Indian scientists in India’s freedom struggle by presenting it in the form of a memorial and museum, but also to present it to the present generations of Indians. The Museum had requirements of atleast six galleries, three seminar halls, exhibition space, play area, a landscape memorial, auditorium(s) having capacity of 1000.

SITE PLAN
SITE LOCATION AND TOPOGRAPHY
Gyan mudra, otherwise known as chin mudra, is a sacred hand gesture or ‘seal’ used to direct energy and maintain focus. This symbolises knowledge and expansion.
Goddess Saraswati is known for wisdom, education, intellect and speech.This Yantra enhances the knowledge, improves concentration and memory power.
The project itself is a knowledge centre so the landmark memorial should symbolise the same. Yantras are Cosmic instruments or tools which are believed to draw positive frequencies from the Planets and other Cosmic bodies and transmit it in the place it is installed.

02 SWAMI INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX
CONCEPT
The concept is creacting the form out of a simple cube for increasing the usable space. Spaces to be easily accesible for all. Use of minimum corridors and maximumuse of space for the requirements, including free space and service at each floor. Use of false walls and louvers as shading devices as well as design elements.

The aim of the project was to create an indoor sports complex for the use of college students as well as sportspersons across Jaipur. It is not to be a complex only for the university.
The task was to design the project to accomodate all the provided list of sports and games within the limited BAR, with comfortable and appropriate circulation.
35% of ground coverage for built up area is allowed and minimum circulation of 30% required on ground.
The requirements for the sports complex included basketball court, skating rink, shooting range, kabaddi court, 2 lawn tennis courts, 4 badminton courts, 2 squash courts, meditation and yoga room, taekwondo, judo, karate, boxing room, TT room, chess and carrom room, cafe, swimming pool, guest houses and some other amenities.

FLOOR PLANS
The double height badminton courts and basketball courts are planned one above other to save space. Heavy columns are used however to support such structure. All the common toilets are kept vertically stacked. Some sport rooms are merged on based on size and capacity of use. Easy access to every room assured.
MATERIALS
Adjustable louvers used on south facade for convenient allowance of light with changing sun position as required.
Fixed louvers on east facade majorly to shade terrace seating and aesthetics.
The polygons and facade of south and west are false facades of GRC i.e. Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete.
Lawn tennis hardcourt is of decoturf. The sittings for the same are shaded with membrane structures.
The pool cover is a hyperbolic steel structure.
The stage shade of OAT is a shell structure.

CONCEPT
The concept is simple segregation of cuboidal zones of 3bhk, 4bhk nd 5bhk flats and easy access to all of them. Diffused light in inner spaces to be assured and site circulation to be throughout accessible. Shading tchniques and play with forms tried out considering the cardinal directions to allow wind as well as light inside most of the possible rooms.

The project located in Jagatpura, demands a luxury multi family housing with all basic amenities and some common activities.
The site is near airport, so there is height restriction for the particular zone. Permisible height for the project is 24m with a BAR of 2.
Maximum ground coverage alloted is 40% of the site area i.e 1240 sqm.
Site circulation of 35% and landscape area of 20% is permitted. The ground coverage achieved is 1142 sqm.

CONCEPT
In 50% of the site, we designed a net-zero single family housing prototype. Our net zero housing concept takes into account the economy, climate, and local regulations, that aims at achieving sustainable and net zero residence in Jaipur which provides comfort, consume less energy and do not compromise with the privacy user. The team decided to create a void and plan courtyard. This not only aided in tree conservation but also helped in increasing the daylight and maintaining the ambient temperature of space.
GOALS
1. Reducing load through passive design strategies.
2. Reducing mechanical cooling hours and achieving adaptive thermal comfort range.
3. Use of renewable energy sources.
4. Limit water consumption and returning it to the same watershed.
5. Reduction in transportation cost.

The client is currently a resident at Pratap Nagar, Jaipur.
The site objective of the client was to purchase a plot of either east or south facing and to conserve the existing vegetation. Their vision is to build home that are ventilated all at the same time. comfortable, with proper daylighting and connected with nature .
The biggest challenge was to design a house for a client who is very old (~50+). The second challenge was to preserve the khejri tree which is existing on site . Material Selection because of the hot and dry climate of Jaipur, Rajasthan was a challenge as well.
The intent was to move towards net-zero.

Hot air flow in the building through the punctures.
Air expansion due to the pressure created by the constricted space.
Pot irrigation is a self-watering irrigation system. Due to the porous nature of the surface of the pitcher the water inside the pitcher or mud pot will automatically transfer towards the nearest soil and plants takes up water only according to its need. Here we have used pitcher having a capacity of 4 liters which will last for 3-4 days.
Hot air cools down due to venturi effect.
CHANNELS
Channels are created in the periphery of the site which will collect the rain water and further store in the rain water harvesting tank.
AIR FILTRATION AND TEMPERATURE
GRADED PATHWAY
Sequence of graded pathway throughout pavement and track off before entrance used.
This promotes indoor environment quality by protecting the house from the dirt and moisture that can be carried by occupant footwear inside.
In kitchen, courtyard and north-west rooms the wind from west are helping in cross ventilation. The south façade allows winter sun rays in the house which provides proper heat and ventilation during winter. Through courtyard the temperature near it cools down and the circulation of fresh air inside the house is maintained.
Exhaust fan are fitted on the top as the warm and light air rises up from the space and escapes through the fan and cool and fresh air comes inside the space through the openings

We are using 16 No. modules of 320 watt each plate which generates 7000 units per year and 19 unit per day.
For effective efficiency as we analysed from climate consultant’ solar radiation guides us solar radiation hour each month overall year so we got average 9.6 hr of efficiency
Generally, 1 kw solar grid generates electricity 4x of its capacity and it achieved with 10 hr of effective day lighting, so we quite near to 10 hr but our electricity consumption is 15 unit/ day and we are generating 4 unit/day more than our consumption.
