AAGO Foundation hosts first-ever Thanksgiving Food Drive AAGO Foundation hosts first-ever Thanksgiving Food Drive

In an effort to support two of its Charity Partners - the Orlando Dream Center and The Sharing Center - the Foundation garnered the support of nearly 90 member apartment communities each of which graciously volunteered to collect food donations.

An official Food Drive kick-off announcement was made in late September and Friends of the Foundation Committee members quickly delivered signage to participating apartment communities. Collections ran from October 5 through November 5 and said collections were sorted and distributed to Foundation Charity Partners the following week.

Volunteers sorted donations by item type and others then boxed said items and moved them to the transport/loading area. (AAGO Office Maintenance Training Center)

In addition to food donations, the AAGO Foundation received monetary contributions to be used to purchase grocery store gift cards. These gift cards were divided between both participating Charity Partners.
