'Asthma in Older Adults' is a spotlight article from AAFA's Asthma Disparities in America report. This article looks at how older Americans have experienced health disparities when compared to younger Americans. They are less likely to get the diagnosis and treatment they need and more likely to have gaps in health insurance. Black and Hispanic adults 65 and older are disproportionately burdened by asthma. This leads to poorer quality of life and lower life expectancy. You can read the full Asthma Disparities in America report at aafa.org/asthmadisparities.
