The University Educators Forum (UEF) is a program developed and sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry to offer resources and networking opportunities for dental faculty interested in cosmetic dentistry education for their students. The goal of the Forum is to share current scientific information, clinical techniques and practice management recommendations, as well as to review accepted standards of practice. With the help of dental schools around the world, we can establish a strong, vibrant, and resourceful community of dental educators with the desire to engage in the UEF May 8, 2015.

Give Back a Smile Event Join us at Slide as we party with a purpose on Thursday, May 7 from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm! Slide is known as the prohibition playground and is a modern day speakeasy. Proceeds support survivors of domestic and sexual violence to receive life-changing smile restorations through the AACD Charitable Foundation’s Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program. International Poster Competition Friday – 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Please join us each day in the Exhibit Hall as dental students and international faculty present their research and clinical cases in cosmetic dentistry. Judging will be on Friday from 12:30 pm–1:30 pm.

The success of programs such as the UEF depend upon support of participating dental schools in the Forum’s discussion and sharing of resources that could have significant value to everyone.

The only prerequisite is a desire to explore excellence in esthetic dentistry and intent to pass on that excellence to others. The strength of a community rests with the commitment of its members. Scientific Session Overview AACD 2015 San Francisco features the world’s most comprehensive continuing education opportunity for cosmetic dental professionals. In the lecture halls, renowned dental educators present the key concepts in clinical cosmetic dentistry.

Dentists and laboratory technicians learn one-on-one the latest techniques in an array of in-depth hands-on workshops.

Continuing Education Credits Scientific session attendees are eligible to earn certified continuing education credits for their participation in the 31st Annual AACD Scientific Session. The AACD is a recognized credit provider for the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and National Association of Dental Laboratories.

For your convenience, each course has been categorized accordingly.

Your Role on the Dental Team You will find lists of ‘Recommended Courses for Accreditation,’ ‘Recommended Courses for Dentists,’ ‘Recommended Courses for Laboratory Technicians,’ ‘Recommended Courses for Team Members (dental assistants, hygienists, office personnel, and patient coordinators),’ and ‘Recommended Courses for Spouse/ Guest’ listed in the small boxes near the course synopsis. Alcatraz became the prison of choice for serious offenders for a simple reason—’The Rock’ was believed to be inescapable. That is until the Anglin brothers and Frank Morris floated away in a homemade raft in 1962. You will take a ferry across the San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz, where you’ll be led on a guided tour of the prison, which was home to such infamous characters as Al Capone, Robert ‘The Birdman’ Stroud and George ‘Machine Gun’ Kelly. This island attracted more prisoners than visitors until its closure in March 1963.
