This hands-on course delivers practical training in crafting direct-indirect anterior composite veneers using advanced composite resin systems. Participants will utilize Dr. Fahl’s Polychromatic Layering Technique (PCL) and Structural Color Concept (SCC) on maxillary central incisors to achieve excellent marginal adaptation, anatomical precision, and natural color matching. The course covers composite resin selection, strategic layering with tints and opaquers, and advanced finishing and polishing for seamless integration. Participants will gain handson experience in building and cementing veneers.

This hands-on workshop focuses on using injectable composite for transitional full-mouth rehabilitations. Direct composite is quickly growing in popularity among the public because patients are seeking out smile enhancements that are non-invasive and that look believable. When a true “veneering composite” is paired with the Marshall Hanson Method (MHM) for non-invasive smile enhancement, these two objectives are lastingly more fully and universally met than with any other treatment modality or material that I am aware of. What visually sets MHM results apart is the consistency achieved in anatomy, surface texture and polish that so closely adhere to the principles we observe in nature. This hands-on workshop provides a focus on the MHM METHOD-ology that makes these restorations look so REAL!

Explore how exosomes are transforming regenerative therapies. This hands-on course led by Dr. Miron introduces their science and applications in dentistry, facial esthetics, and beyond, from implant and periodontal regeneration to hair restoration and joint therapy, showing participants how to integrate exosomes for faster healing and natural esthetic outcomes.

Bradley J. Olson, DDS, FAACD & Salvatore Lotardo, DDS, FAACD

This combined program will fulfill the two workshop requirements of the AACD Accreditation process. This lecture will be a complete overview of the credentialing process, requirements, and resources to assist dental professionals in achieving excellence. It will address the clinical exam process and the criteria that serve as the foundation in the evaluation of cases. You will be given the opportunity to develop the “eye of an examiner” in a mock trial of sample cases.

The blend of art and science is critical to achieving optimal cosmetic results that will culminate in Accreditation level outcomes. In this interactive lecture, we take a deep dive into the five Accreditation case types, discussing all the factors that are essential for successful submissions. Developing these skills, knowledge, and a critical eye will not only help you on your Accreditation journey, but allow you to reach your potential as the cosmetic dental professional your patients deserve.

This workshop will assist attendees with preparation for attaining the highest credential, becoming an Accredited Fellow, which is available to Accredited Dental Professionals within of the Academy. Dr. Notarantonio will be giving a brief discussion, with emphasis on examination criteria, using multiple cases as the participant guide. Attendance is limited to AACD Accredited Dental Professionals

The Accreditation Written Examination is the first step in obtaining AACD’s coveted credential and tests foundational knowledge in cosmetic dentistry. Individuals who are knowledgeable in all phases of cosmetic dentistry are expected to pass the written examination, a multiple-choice exam that will be administered at AACD 2026. When course selection opens, select the Accreditation Written Examination, which is scheduled on Friday, April 17, at 8:30 AM ET. ACCREDITATION JOURNEY ESSENTIALS

Achieving AACD Accredited Status is the preeminent milestone in the world of esthetic dentistry. It’s a recognition that honors your skills by demonstrating your commitment to continuing education and responsible patient care. It’s no small feat—this process is both rigorous and fulfilling. With this new initiative, we’ll be making this journey even more rewarding.
Every time you successfully complete one of the required case types, you’ll receive a digital badge that recognizes your achievement. These badges, which you can showcase wherever or however you please, will clearly show which case types you’ve successfully completed. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Case Type 1 is heavily weighted in Accreditation criteria due to the smile design elements involved. This course will demonstrate how to “Ace Your Case” by improving the accuracy, efficiency, and predictability of all your anterior esthetic cases. See how smile design relates to proper prep design and how fabrication of mockup smiles helps verify esthetic and occlusal planning. We will review trends for tooth preparation, as well as bonding steps for veneers.
Understand how the accuracy of digital impression systems and modern impression materials can help you plan and deliver beautiful cases with consistency and confidence.
This workshop will help develop the participants’ composite mirroring skills. Attendees will follow along as Dr. LeSage demonstrates composite layering techniques that create polychromicity, incisal edge halo, and natural incisal translucency. In this workshop environment, microesthetic principles of secondary and tertiary anatomy and attaining an appropriate finish, polish, and luster will be demonstrated.
Since an esthetic case begins with a photo and ends with a photo, photography is an essential skill for a member in the Accreditation process to master. The ability to achieve consistent and properly exposed images for each before and after will be paramount for their success. This course intends to outline a systematic approach to camera equipment, lighting, settings, and lab communication to achieve a predictable result each time. Is your photography game Accreditation-ready?
