O

ver the past 31 years, 434 members in the history of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry have completed its rigorous Accreditation process. The process is designed to give dental professionals the chance to learn, grow and interact with colleagues while they demonstrate their commitment to cosmetic dentistry and responsible esthetics. Accreditation requires successful completion of a written examination, multiple clinical case submissions and an oral examination. Becoming an AACD Accredited dentist or laboratory technician helps dental professionals provide better care to their patients and clients, and distinguishes their practices and labs within their communities. While becoming an Accredited member is a significant accomplishment, some continue their education by becoming an Accredited Fellow.

Fellowship is the highest level of achievement available to Academy members . We warmly welcome six new members to Accredited Fellow status — Craig P. Goldin, DDS, FAACD, Erik R. Dr. Craig Goldin graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985. He and his wife, Dr. Marcy Goldin founded the Cosmetic Dentistry Institute in Troy, Michigan. In 2006 they received the Cosmetic Practice of the Year Award.

The Cosmetic Dentistry Institute was honored by winning the 2012 Dental Office Design Competition, an award sponsored by the American Dental Association.

Dr. Goldin has achieved Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also certified in IV sedation. Dr. Goldin focuses on cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry. He enjoys fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and traveling.

Erik Haupt earned his degree in Business Management from California State University Fullerton.

He has been working for Haupt Dental Laboratory since 1991 specializing in anterior ceramics. He has been a member of the AACD since 2002 and achieved Accredited Member status in 2007.

Trinh received her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles and obtained her dental degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in 1998. She has been a member of the AACD since 2001 and achieved Accredited Member status in 2009.

She co-owns and operates Allure Dental Center with her sister, Suzanna Lee, DDS, AAACD in Mountain View, CA, and has been providing cosmetic, implant, sedation and comprehensive dentistry to the Mountain View and Bay Areas since 1998. Juan is married to his beautiful wife, Ana of 32 years and together they have two wonderful children, Natalie and Jonathan. Juan enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

A California native, Dr. Ringer attended college at the University of California, San Diego and then graduated from dental school at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1978.

He obtained his California dental license in 1979 and has maintained a private practice in Orange County, California since 1981. Jack became an Accredited Member of the AACD in 2007 and went on to serve as the President of the AACD from 2013 to 2014. He is also the founder and former President of the Orange County Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an AACD affiliate. Between treating patients, teaching at local dental institutions and speaking at various dental meetings, Dr. Ringer enjoys playing racquetball, traveling and scuba diving with his wife, Lauren, and his son, Dustin.

Dr. Baghdasaryan was born in Armenia, the son of a teacher and a nurse. At 16, he completed high school at the top of his class and was admitted to the Medical University, where he graduated with excellence in 1994. The doctor furthered his education and clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, followed by graduate school for business management.

Dr. Baghdasaryan is happily married to his university classmate who shares his passion in dentistry.

The couple have three gorgeous kids. They live and practice dentistry in Los Angeles, California and own two successful private practices “Cyberdent” and “Viva Smile”.

Dr. Bello-Burgos was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic. She is a graduate of the University Autonoma of Santo Domingo, UASD and Nova Southeastern University, Florida. She has completed programs at Pankey Institute and the Aesthetic Continuum Dental Education Program. She specializes in aesthetic and family dentistry.

As the founder and president of Monsenor Felipe Bello Foundation, the doctor gives back to her community by offering dental charity services to children and adults in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic and South Florida. Dr. Bello-Burgos is married to Julio Burgos, CHA, and they have two children, Julio Jose and Perla Liz. She enjoys family vacations and charitable work.

Dr. Boccuzzi graduated from Tallahassee Community College in 1988 with her Dental Hygiene degree.

While working as a hygienist, Dr. Boccuzzi realized she enjoyed being in the dental field, but wanted more. She obtained a Merit Scholarship and in 1995 was awarded her doctorate from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine.

After practicing in Massachusetts for eight years she purchased her practice in Pompano Beach and began her journey in occlusion, tissue/enamel preservation, and facial aesthetic injections.

Passionate about the warm weather and the ocean; in her free time she enjoys fishing, scuba diving, biking and spending time with her boyfriend Guy and her two dogs.

Dr. Michael Brumm received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville and his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Brumm continues his dental education in the areas of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is pastpresident of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, lectures nationally and internationally on dental implants and cosmetic and restorative dental procedures and is an active member and lecturer for the Seattle Study Club and the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association.

Dr. Brumm is married and has four beautiful children. His interests outside of the dental profession include golf, travel, and fitness.

Dr. Dennis Hartlieb completed his undergraduate and dental school studies at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1988. He maintains a full time practice in the Chicago suburb of Glenview, Illinois and helps others to further their education as an instructor at the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Hartlieb is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American College of Dentists, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Amy Hughes earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She is in constant pursuit of continuing education.

In addition to being a member of the AACD, Dr. Hughes is currently the President of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

She practices dentistry at Glen Lake Family Dentistry in Minnetonka MN. Her husband is an executive at United Health Group and she has two wonderful daughters.

Karsten Klimmek received his diploma as a Master Dental Technician at The Institute of Dental Technology in Cologne, Germany in 1999. With extensive continuous training in the natural morphology and functional design of restorations in both ceramics and alloys, he is in his 19th year of restoring complex full mouth allceramic to combination cases.

Since joining MicroDental, he has attended both LVI and the Misch Institute and received the LVI Fellowship. As an active member of the AACD, he continues to bring excellent quality and experience to the Macstudio team.

Dr. Jeffrey Lineberry was born and raised in North Carolina and is married with two sons. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill Dental School in 2000 and has been in private practice since 2001.

Dr. Lineberry has attended multiple continuing education courses at the Pankey Institute. He’s also been involved with Spear Education, where he currently serves as a mentor and Visiting Faculty since 2009.

Dr. Lineberry has obtained his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also involved with the AACD Ambassadors Think Tank and Ethics Committee.

Nicholas Marongiu, DDS, received his dental degree from Loma Linda University. He is on medical staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital and is adjunct faculty at University of California, San Diego. He currently serves on the AACD Board of Directors and the CDA Board of Managers. In addition to the AACD, Dr. Marongiu belongs to numerous dental associations. He also volunteers in local dental clinics through UCSD and devotes two weeks a year to international mission dentistry. He maintains a full time multispecialty private practice in La Jolla, CA, Scripps Center for Dental Care.

Dr. Omo grew up in Åminne, Sweden. After technical college she studied at Lunds University and graduated from the Faculty of Odontology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in 1993.

Dr. Omo is currently a member of SACD, SAED and the AACD. The doctor is happy and grateful to work with a great team, together they create magic.

Dr. Omo and her husband Stefan have two wonderful daughters, Alicia and Amelie. Family is a big part of the doctors life.

She loves golfing and is a fan of Disney and Universal studios. She hopes to make a difference for people in the future, creating fantastic natural smiles with minimally invasive dentistry.

Dr. Aparna Sadineni is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco. She maintains a private practice in Dublin, OH for the past nine years with emphasis on esthetic and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Sadineni is a Master of Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She attended numerous continuing education courses including a three year post graduate program in esthetic dentistry at University of Minnesota, Misch Implant Institute and Dawson Academy. She has been a member of AACD since 2006 and is the current president of Ohio Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Sadineni also enjoys travelling and volunteering with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Clarence Tam is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery and General Practice Residency at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto, respectively.

Dr. Tam is the Chairperson of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She sits on the Restorative Advisory Panel for Henry Schein, a Key Opinion Leader for Ivoclar Vivadent, 3M ESPE, KurarayNoritake-Morita, Coltene, GC Australasia, SDI, Coltene, DentsplySirona and the only Voco Fellow in Australasia. The doctor is a Fellow of the International Academy for DentoFacial Esthetics.

Clarence maintains a private practice limited to cosmetic and restorative dentistry in Newmarket, Auckland.

Dr. Hannu Vesanen has one of Finland’s leading family owned cosmetic dental clinics with three locations. He utilizes the world’s most advanced dental treatment tools and techniques and relies on his wife to keep the clinics operating smoothly.

Minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry is Dr. Vesanen’s ambition and he has become very involved with pre-cosmetic aligning and is a member of the European Invisalign Esthetic Advisory Board. He has participated in numerous international trainings and courses and currently works with leading ceramists in California.

His clinic, Esteettisen Hammashoidon Klinikka, strives to make every patient’s smile as radiant as it can be.

Dr. Paul VreNon is a native of Nevada. He attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997 and went on to complete his general dentistry residency program at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

In September of 2000, Dr. VreNon opened Desert Breeze Dental in Las Vegas, Nevada and is committed to continue his education to stay current with improvements in all clinical aspects.

Dr. VreNon has achieved Master status in the AGD, is a clinical instructor for the Kois Center, and is proud to add his Accreditation Credential with the AACD as his latest accomplishment.

Dr. Eric Wang is a native of Minnesota where he earned his B.A. in 1995 from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and his DDS in 1999 as graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

The doctor is a member of the ADA, serves on the board of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, participates as Visiting Faculty at Spear Education, is an alumnus of Kois Center, and has an IPS Mastership through the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Wang and his wife Julie have four children, Leah, Sarah, Andrew, and Matthew, and two Cockapoos, Cocoa and Max.
